To make the background I sprayed some distress ink sprays on watercolor paper in Halloween colors. Dry. Stamp Goth text for ATC randomly in black ink over the background.
Add some washi tape in spots also add a 31 die cut numbers to top of card.
Add Frank to bottom.
Now we make his costume. Add a glittery bowtie, a mustache and a monocle. Last we add a fragile sticker to his head.

31 Days of Halloween: Day 12 - When Witches Go Riding

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Laurie here again with a fun ATC for day 12 of our annual 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  I hope you have been following the blog this month and are busy making some festive projects to enter for the chance to win some free stamps.

For this ATC, I used the ATC Grunge Tree stamp and the Witch stamp, both from Lost Coast Designs, and the Witches Go Riding clear stamp from Carmen's Veranda.

For my background, I used a piece of coffee stained paper that I had on hand.   I stamped the grunge tree with black ink, then cut my piece to ATC size (2 1/2 by 3 1/2").  I edged it with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink to keep that vintage-y look and feel.

I stamped my witch with black ink onto white paper and fussy cut her.   I colored her and her broom with Copic Sketch markers, mostly using shades of gray.  I glued her atop my background as shown.

I then stamped my sentiment  (this sentiment is actually four lines long but I just used the first line) with black ink onto a piece of an old book page and edged it with black ink.  I attached it as shown, and easy as
1-2-3 my ATC is done!!

Please come join us for this most fun month of the entire year as we celebrate Halloween with a new project every day for 31 days and keep your eyes open for the treats!

31 Days of Halloween: Day 11 - Happy Frank - O - Ween!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

We're movin' right along on our 31 Days of Halloween.

Today I have a frightful bit of sweetness for you...
Frank wandering around in the spooky woods wanting to wish you a
Happy Frank - O - Ween!!!!

The background for this card was made using Lederhosen Laurel Magical Shaker from Lindy's Stamp Gang. I love this color...it's bright and beautiful AND it's full of shine and shimmer. It was stamped with the Trees background stamp using VersaFine Clair Nocturne.  I mounted the panel on a bit of Marigold Foiled Paper from Rinea to really make it pop on the black card base.

I then stamped Frank on a scrap of cardstock and colored him with Arteza Colored Pencils. He was fussy cut and attached to the card using a bit of foam tape.  The sentiment is computer generated and matted with more of the foiled paper from Rinea.

31 Days of Halloween Day 6 - Beware!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Ghoulish greetings from Laurie on Day 6 of our 31 Days of Halloween celebration. I hope you are joining in the fun as the Design Team has a new post every day for the whole month of October.  Hopefully you are inspired to create your own terrifying works of art!

This card was made with the Gargoyle stamp from Lost Coast Designs.  I simply stamped this onto a piece of Tim Holtz Halloween card stock and cut it out.  I took a very fine black pen and outlined the eyes, fangs and claws to give them a bit more prominence.

This background was really a fun project and easy to do.  I took a piece of plain 12" by 12" card stock and, using Gel medium, pieced it all over with scraps of vintage book paper.  Some are right side up but many are upside down or backwards.  I then stenciled it with several different stencils using shades of green, orange, and tan Distress Inks.  Once that was complete, using a zig zag stitch and black thread, I sewed around each of the individual paper pieces and all around the edges as well.

So you end up with an amazing collage that you can then cut up into different sizes for different projects you might have in mind.  Once this was done I selected a square section, cut it out, edged it with Distress Ink and placed my dragon right in the center.  The final touch was a "Beware" sticker in the lower lefthand corner.

So get to work and make some fabulous and freaky Halloween creations and enter them on the Portal for a chance to win some free stamps!!

31 Days of Halloween: Day 3 - Are You My Mummy

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Day 3 of the 31 Days of Halloween - Roni here with a card made using the darling little Mummy.

He was colored using Koh-I-Noor's fun Tri-Tone colored pencils. Each individual pencil has 3 colors swirled together in one pencil led. You just color away and it creates some really fun and amazing looks as you can see here.

He was then fussy cut and popped onto a marbled piece of craft paper on a Rinea Foiled Paper mat for a bit of shine.

Hope you like my first card of the Halloween Season
and stop back in all month long to check out the rest of the spooky creations
that our team has in store for you.

31 Days of Halloween Day 2 - Dancing Skeletons

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Happy Haunting from Laurie on this 2nd day of the month long 31 Days of Halloween celebration here on the Portal.  It's my favorite time of year, and I love working with my Halloween and fall stamps from Lost Coast and Carmen's Veranda.

For this card, I used the Grunge Tree background stamp and the Dancing Skeletons stamp, both from Lost Coast Designs.  I started with a piece of the new Tim Holtz Halloween paper pad and using black embossing powder, embossed my background stamp on the paper.  I trimmed around the edges, leaving a border of the paper around the outside of the embossed image.

Next I stamped my dancing skeletons onto white card stock then fussy cut them out.  Be patient - it's worth the effort!  I adhered just the heads and torsos with glue to my background, leaving the arms and legs to kind of stick out so they appear to be moving on the page.

I typed the words "Danse Macabre", (meaning "dance of death") onto a piece of white paper and printed it out, outlined it with black ink and attached to my card front as shown.
Final step was to layer the card front with a white card base.

So go grab your Halloween craft supplies and stamps and show us what hauntingly fun goodies you can create!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 29

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

We are coming to the end of this year's Halloween Blog Hop.  Laurie here with one more project with a Halloween theme, featuring a cat or dog.  In this instance, it's a cat.

This features one of Linda's Doodle Cats inspired by Laurel Birch.  I also used the White Skulls Border stamp from Lost Coast Designs.

I started by stamping my kitty cat three times:  once on orange paper, once on green paper, and once on white paper.  All were stamped with black ink.
I used the orange kitty as my base so cut it out.  I then cut out various sections of the other two cats and pasted those as shown onto my orange kitty base.  So a bit a cutting and piecing work here.  It was fun - I didn't really have a plan in mind so just let it happen!  I accentuated with some orange sequins and green rhinestones.  I used a white Gel pen to highlight as well.   I cut out a witch's hat from a collage sheet and pasted that onto my kitty.

I cut a tag shape from some Halloween card stock and edged it with orange ink.  I stamped my border onto the same paper with black ink, cut it out, and glued it to the bottom of my tag.  Kitty gets attached next and the finishing touches are the die cut word "wicked" and the black ribbon at the top.

You still have a few days left to enter your Dog and Cat and/or Halloween projects at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and a chance to win some stamps!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 28

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello.  Gail here with a little wisdom and beauty.  We are celebrating the 31 Days of Halloween and I wanted to bring a little mystery to the party.

I made a card using Lost Coast Designs very beautiful Owlynn and words from Miscellaneous Words, a collection of lots of useful words to mix and match to your hearts content.
I started with this shaving foam/reinker background that I thought looked a little other dimensional in a fuzzy pink sort of way.
I stamped and embossed Owlynn on white card, coloured with Promarkers and gel pens and fussy cut.
I added the image to my background and stamped and embossed some of the words.  I cut them out and used black archival ink to grunge them up a bit.  I also grunged up the edges of the panel to give it a more shadowy look.

There is still time to link to our 31 Days of Halloween and Cats and/or Dogs challenges.
Both linkys close at 5 to midnight 31st October.
See you there.............

31 Days of Halloween - Day 26

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Gail here today with Lost Coast Designs gorgeous Cheshire Cat.
He's been waiting in the wings and now is his moment to Smile
He's just a big softy really!  I simply stamped Lost Coast Designs Cheshire Cat on a piece of white card using black archival and cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die.  I coloured his eyes, fangs and claws with gel pens and stamped and black embossed Carmen's Veranda Smile word.  The background is a Sizzix Mixed Media die cut twice from a piece of black card and added to a red base.

If you are dropping by from the 2018 Cat Lovers Hop then puurrrr, puuurrrr, meow!  I thought I would add a few links for feline themed stamps in the Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda shops.  I realise that the stamp catalogue is pretty large and you might not have had a chance to become familiar with it.

Carmen's Veranda has some fabulous feline themed sentiments, plus many others on 1, 2, 3 pages.  I advise people not to be drinking coffee or margarita's whilst looking at these!!
There are also some really cute cat stamps in Carmen's Veranda animal section and also a new Peekaboo kitty that Janis used on her Day 1 post.

Lost Coast Designs also has a lot of cat stamps.  There are some really cuties in the brand new Carri's Menagerie.  Lots of beautifully detailed ones HERE, and a few scary ones, including the wonderful Cheshire Cat HERE, and don't forget to check out the Party Cats, and Kitty Girl!

Day 25 of the 31 days of Halloween

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy here with a broom hanging cat for you.
So I started out by making a galaxy background. I used Distress Oxide for this one. I like how well it blends. I used pink, blue, yellow and black ink colors.
I then I took some white paint and added splatters to it for stars.

I took Hanging branch cat by Katzelkraft that Lost Coast Design sell, stamped it and colored with Copic markers. I then cut it out.
Then I dyed the broom. It started out a light wood color and the end was off white color. I took to some distress spray and colored it. Set aside to dry.  Then I added some glow-in-the-dark eyes to the cat.  When dry I used hot glue to add it to the galaxy background. Then I added foam tape to the cat so he is hanging off the broom.
As I was looking at it I felt is still needed something. Magick coming out of the broom. So I die cut some gold stars and added them to the end of the broom. Then I added some glitter because glitter adds just a little bit more magick!!

Welcome to day 22 of our 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  I hope you are enjoying all the spookalicious and bootastic inspiration from the team.  Gail here today with double trouble!!  Meet Trick and Treat!
I've made a sign to add to my bootastic decorations featuring Carmen's Veranda adorable Tabby Cat and White Cat.  I've also used Lost Coast Designs License Plate Alphabet and the beautiful Circle Frame stamp.
I embossed the Circle Frame background on orange card with black embossing powder and randomly smeared on various orange distress inks.   I backed this panel with a piece of heavy card.  I stamped, embossed and fussy cut the two cats, coloured them with distress inks and added hats, courtesy of Carmen's Veranda Oz Witch.  One hat fits all!!!!
Then I stamped the letters on various scraps of purple card and arranged them on my sign.

OK, so we have the 31 Days of Halloween running.  And then there's our Cat and Dog challenge.   So that's two chances to win.  And now we are pleased to announce that Lost Coast Designs is proudly sponsoring the 2018 Cat Lovers Hop!!
