Merry Christmas From Our Gnome To Yours

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

 Good morning and a very happy Monday. It's Sue here and my first project for our 'Gnome' challenge is a Christmas card. Let's face it, Christmas card production is at the top of many crafters to-do list at the moment.

This is a huge card, about 11 inches long (luckily it came with its own envelope)

I started by matting and layering some card and designer paper to my card blank.

Then I stamped, coloured, and cut out my gnomes and houses. The sentiment has been printed from my computer onto vellum.

These are my lovely stamps. They are

Stone House

Then it was just a case of assembling my gnome village and adding some snow.

Hi everyone! I hope you love Gnomes as much as we do, because this weeks is just Gnomes here at our blog! :-)

I coloured this (cut out) witch and stump house with Zig markers and gel pens. (Gnome Witch with stars and Stump House). I stamped the big Shrubbery onto the moon background.

Hello Portal Peeps!  Gail here today with some tags featuring Lost Coast Designs awesome Gnomes.

I am so looking forward to this month long challenge and seeing all the cute gnome makes.

Please remember we are a real stamp zone so all rubber or clear stamp gnomes welcome.  Here's my trio.....

I started by cutting some marbled card with a stitch tag die and stamped Lost Coast Designs Flagstone Background with Sky Blue archival ink.  I also used the same ink around the tag edges.

I cut snowy hills and stamped, coloured and fussy cut the gnomes.  Here's Sleeping Gnome with sign relaxing before the Christmas rush.

Gnomes: Gnome Santa

Hello to all from Laurie at the beginning of the last month of 2021.  We are in a holiday mood here on the Portal, and our challenge theme for the month is: Gnomes.  According to the dictionary, a gnome is an ageless creature of folklore who lives in the earth, usually guarding treasure.  I've made a holiday card using the  Santa Gnome with Toys stamp from Lost Coast Designs.  I guess you could say this stamp depicts this little Santa Gnome guarding a treasure of toys in his sack.

I stamped my gnome onto white card stock with black ink and used Copic Sketch markers to color him.  I then fussy cut him out for placement on my card front.

Next I took a 6 x 6 pad of various Christmas papers and cut a bunch of thin strips of many of the patterns. These were then glued down to my white card base in a pattern, starting at the outer perimeter of the paper and working my way into the middle, trimming the strips as they got shorter and shorter.  I die cut a circle from one of the papers and placed it directly in the middle of the card front.  The Gnome Santa was then affixed to that circle with some foam tape for dimension.  The final step was to layer this with a piece of Christmas red card stock.

ANYTHING GOES WITH GNOMES

 Lost Coast Designs has an awesome collection of Gnome stamps.

 

Show us your gnomes!  Any style, any occasion, any type of project, but please remember, they must be real stamped gnomes.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.  A small stamped sentiment in a sea of die cuts or digi images will not qualify to win the prize and you may be deleted!!!!  Bwahahhaaahaha.

Please remember we do have some Challenge Rules to follow so look them over to ensure your entries qualify to win this month's prize!

You are welcome to play in our Challenges using rubber stamp images from any company but if you use any of our Lost Coast Designs or Carmen's Veranda stamps...we love it when you do...then your entry counts as two which doubles your chances of winning in our random prize drawing.
