Happy Holidays

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Goodmorning, Cathy here with a fun card for you today.

                                                                             Stamps Used:
                                                                 gnome Santa with toys

I started out with a red piece of paper and stamped the argyle background on it with red ink.

I then stamped the gnome on a separate piece of white cardstock and colored it in with copic markers.

After that I got a shimmering white cardstock and cut it down so I could tear it with the stamped red cardstock. I glued the white piece under the red piece and then I added it to a green card base. Lastly, I added the saying and there is my card.

Come join the Christmas in July challenge.

Hello stampers, scrappers and other crafters.

The june challenge is still running, so there is still time to join.

For this card I used:
Dictionary words.
Glitter glue.
Distress oxide Peacock feathers.
Versa magic Pumpkin spice.
Any terracotta spray with shimmers.
Versafine onyx black.
Embossing folder.
Fine sanding block.
Die for the text.
Black marker.

How to make this background, click here!

With a fine sanding block go over the top.
Set the background aside.

With the 2 inkpads make a puddle ink and dip the paper in it.
Die cut a shape to stamp the text on.

Stamp along the text with black and a piece of the long Swirl stamp.
Use a marker to draw a black line around the die cut.

Stamp a butterfly with black and color it with pencil, and cut it out.
We will now decorate the background, butterfly, text and swirl with glitter glue.

Stick everything on a black mat with foam tape.
And that was the description of this card.
Hope you like it.
And hereby I invite you to join the challenge.
And maybe you will be the next winner.
See you there.

June Color Challenge 198 — A Turquoise and Terracotta Snarky Card!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings! You've got Kathi here today to share a card created for June's Color Challenge 198 with the turquoise/terracotta color scheme and a bit of snark, courtesy of the Giveashitometer Sentiment Clear Stamp by Carmen's Veranda.

Here it is!

When I saw the Giveashitometer Sentiment Clear Stamp, I immediately thought that the Voltage Bigz Die would be perfect with it, so my first step was to cut and assemble the shitometer with terracotta and turquoise patterned papers, small alphabet cutting dies, and small rub-ons.

I stamped the Giveashitometer Sentiment Clear Stamp with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with black detail embossing powder.

I did some more paper layering and called it done! Every now and then it's fun to do a quick and easy card, especially when that card has a touch of snark to make one giggle.

You still have a bit more than a week to participate in this month's challenge for the chance to win some Lost Coast Ca$h!

Hello Portal Peeps!!   Are you enjoying all the wonderful colour inspiration on the blog this month??  Two beautiful colour schemes to choose from and today I went with Terracotta and Turquoise.
I started with a pale turquoise patterned card panel and randomly stamped Lost Coast Designs large circle Shadow Frame with salty ocean distress ink.  I egded the panel with the same ink.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs Pokey Cat on the card panel and then on white card using archival sepia ink.  I watercoloured the cat with rusty hinge distress ink and blue gel pen and fussy cut.  The sentiment is Carmen's Veranda Ask For Directions sentiment.
Join the colour challenge fun.  Link up your stamped anythings featuring the colours LEMON AND LIME or TERRACOTTA AND TURQUOISE.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi everyone! Liesbeth here again, today I made a journal page for our Colour Challenge. I coloured an old book page with gesso and a leave and also with Terra cotta and turqoise inks and stamped The Victoriana stamps, the text from Dream, Magic, Love and pieces of the Flagstone Background with black ink. To finish the page I used white gel pen, bleach and charcoal. I glued the page in one of my altered books.

Hope you like this idea and join us with a colourful piece of art! See you next time,
