31 Days of Halloween, day 16

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi, Riet here,

It's already the 16th day of Halloween Challenge month.
For my contribution, I made a choker necklace.

Stamps from Lost Coast designs,
I cut a bat from a sheet of shrink plastic.
I drew the bat using a stencil from Angies Happy Hobby.
She has the most amazing stencils with mask.

I stamped the Frida skull with Stazon Jet Black and colored it in with markers.
Then I put on a mask of the fridah skull and stamped the spider web with resist fluid.
Let everything dry completely and then sponge it with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke.
The edges were sponged with Distress Oxide Black Soot.
Once everything is thoroughly dried, you can heat and shrink the shrink plastic.
You can make the choker using your own imagination or buy it ready-made.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Maybe you've made something for Halloween too?
Show us and you could win new stamps.

31 Days of Halloween Day 15 - Hooray for Halloween!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hooray for Halloween! Aimee here with this joyful creation. I love the feeling of action this Day of the Dead Man stamp evokes. He reminds me of a little kid on Halloween night running out the front door of his house to collect a bag full of candy.
This running skeleton is actually wielding a knife as he sprints, so if that's not the look you're going for, you can cover up the knife with an embellishment or sentiment placard. I used the Daffodils stamp for the background color-blocking, but any background pattern stamp would work.
Celebrate the Halloween season with us by uploading your own creation to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity. You have until the spookiest night of the year...October 31!

Day 14 of the 31 days of Halloween

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Goodmorning all, Cathy here with Day 14 for you.

Stamps Used:

I first stamped the spiderweb background on orange cardstock and edged it with drown distress oxide ink. I then layered it on a black card base.
The next step I did was to stamp out 2 of the flying skulls and cut them out.

I colored them with copic markers and then I stuck them to the front of the card.

I hope you join in the challenge.

31 Days of Halloween Day 13 - Halloween Darling

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!   Gail here today on lucky day 13 of our 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  The team are posting awesome Halloween related makes every day this month and we hope you feel inspired to stamp and link up your makes.   Today I have made a card using Carmen's Veranda sentiment and Staircase with Lost Coast Designs Dark Girl Dolly, Fourth Dimension and Bat Boy.
I used a slimline card and a vertical design.  I started by stamping part of Lost Coast Designs Fourth Dimension on the bottom of the card in black ink and added some pink distress colour.  I stamped Carmen's Veranda Staircase with grey ink and gave it a old paper distress ink colour and fussy cut.  Dark Girl Dolly was stamped on white card, coloured with promarkers and fussy cut.  The bats were left over from my day 11 make.  For the sentiment I used Carmen's Veranda Hot and Sexy sentiment, which is usually birthday orientated.  I stamped the top part of the sentiment, added the words 'for Halloween' and then stamped the bottom part of the sentiment.  I arranged all the elements on the card base and done!!
Link up your Halloween inspired projects.  Anything related to the season, spooky, fruity, fun, scary or cute.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.  A small stamped sentiment in a sea of die cuts or digi images will not qualify to win the prize and you may be deleted or fed to the giant pumpkin!!!!  Bwahahhaaahaha.

31 Days of Halloween Day 12: Bosch creatures ATC's

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everyone, Liesbeth here again with another creepy piece: two halloween ATC's for our 31 Days of Halloween challenge.

I used the Isle of aud creatures stamp, with some of the creatures of the medieval painter Jheronimus Bosch (1450-1516), I love the artist and the stamps! I think they are perfect for Halloween! 💀😀

I stamped them onto a alcohol inked glossy ATC card with different colours of StazOn ink, coloured with Distress Markers, made shadows with black ink and finished with white gel pen.

Have a nice day!

31 Days of Halloween Day 11 - Square Bats That Look Round

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here with day 11 of our 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  This month the team are posting awesome Halloween related makes every day and we want to invite you to join us.
I made a forest scene using Lost Coast Designs Dracula, Tall Trees Background and Bat Boy

I made the background using the second alcohol ink background I made the other day.  I had already made one and was just stamping off the inks still on the felt pad, so this one is more subtle.  I used Midnight archival ink and stamped the Tall Trees and used Sunflower archival in a circle of felt for the moon.

I stamped Dracula and Bat Boy on white card and coloured with distress markers.  I fussy cut dracula and the heads of the bat boys and added them to the card.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 10

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings! You've got Kathi here to share a card created for Day 10 of the 31 Days of Halloween feature. I created this card with the Pokey Pidgeon Rubber Stamp by Lost Coast Designs. Pokey Pidgeon is wearing his Raven Halloween costume for my card and is quoting some Edgar Allen Poe.

Here's the card!

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp Pokey Pidgeon on the left side of a 7" x 5" piece of Bristol Paper, then stamp again onto a piece of repositionable sticker paper.

Color Pokey Pidgeon with Copic markers so that he looks more like a Raven than a pigeon.

Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel.

Place a piece of repositionable Scotch Tape horizontally across the image panel right above Pokey Pidgeon's feet.

Place a slimline cloud stencil towards the top of the image panel. Brush or sponge Stormy Sky Distress Ink over the top of the stencil onto the image panel. Brush or sponge Villainous Potion Distress Ink over the stencil over the stencil onto the image panel.

Flip the stencil 180° and move it downwards. Brush or sponge Stormy Sky Distress Ink over the top of the stencil and the masked Pokey Pidgeon onto the image panel. Brush or sponge Villainous Potion Distress Ink over the stencil over the stencil and the masked Pokey Pidgeon onto the image panel.

Repeat the above steps another three times until the stormy and cloudy sky background fills the image panel.

Brush Lost Shadow Distress Ink onto the white areas of the clouds to darken them a bit.

Mist the image panel with water and use a paper towel to blot up the bigger droplets.

Move the repositionable Scotch Tape so that it's sitting on the separation between the sky and the bottom area while covering Pokey Pidgeon's feet and legs.

Sponge or brush Pumice Stone Distress Ink over the tape and the masked image onto the bottom area of the image panel.

Place the "Nevermore" stencil to the right of and the masked Pokey Pidgeon and secure with low-tack tape and/or magnets. Sponge Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink over the stencil onto the image panel.

Use low-tack tape to cover the word "Nevermore". Move the stencil slightly so that the splats and splotches are in an open area. Sponge Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink over the stencil onto the image panel. Repeat this process until you are happy with the amount of splotches and splats.

Remove the tape and the stencil from the image panel. Remove the mask and use Copic markers and/or a black fineliner pen to touch up Pokey Pidgeon if necessary.

Increase the size of and the masked Pokey Pidgeon's pupils with a N7 Copic marker. Use a white gel pen to add highlights to his pupils. Use a white colored pencil to add a highlight to Pokey Pidgeon's beak.

Use a black marker to deepen the black of the word "Nevermore".

Trim the image panel to 6.75" x 4.75" and edge with Nocturne VersaFine Clair. Adhere the image panel to a 7" x 5" card.

I hope that you've been enjoying the 31 Days of Halloween showcase and are inspired to join our challenge and get the chance to win some Lo$t Coa$t Ca$h!

31 Days of Halloween Day 9 - Near Halloween

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hey there - Darlene here with another make for the 31 Days of Halloween
here at the Lost Coast Designs Portal to Creativity.

Today I am sharing a card I made using the 'Tree Branches'
background stamp and

The tag I used the soap bubbles technique for the background
then I stamped the Raven in black onto a tag.  Sponged the edges with black soot ink.

Layered onto the background branches where I had also stamped the Raven
so I could layer the tag on top (popped it up a bit)
Also inked the edges

The saying if from Carmen Verandas Words and Phrases
'When Witches Go Riding'. where I only used a portion
of the saying.

Slid in the moon behind the tag - added a bit of ribbon.
Layered onto dark purple cardstock - stressed the edges.

Happy October and Happy Halloween all month long. Cathy here with a postcard for you.

I then took some distress ink and made a smooshed background. I tore the top of the postcard and edged the whole thing in a dark brown ink. Next, I added some Halloween ephemera around it. Layered it all on black cardstock.

31 Days of Halloween Day 6

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi Riet here, with a new Halloween card.

Today a Halloween card with the cutest little witch I have ever seen.

Stampes I used:
Stencil of pine trees
Stencil of a moon.
White gellpen
Waterproof black inkpad
Color pencils
Color markers
Distress ink Wild honey,
Spiced mamalade,
Black soot.
Distress oxide Hickory smoke,
Dusty concord

I started sponging the moon with Wild honey and spiced marmalade.

Scattered straw around the moon on the outside spiced marmalade.

Sponge the pine trees with Hickory smoke.
And a second row of pinetrees with Black soot.

Sponge the sky with Dusty concord and black soot at the edges.
And stamp the witch and the grunge tree with black waterproof ink.

Color the witch,
and give the trees a bit of a white edge with the gelly pen.

Stamp the saying with the black waterproof ink.

We're going to decorate the mat with the border stamp.
And color it in matching colors.
Glue the card on the mat.
Now that was a lot of coloring, but I like the result.

Perhaps you're also making Halloween/Day of the Dead crafts with stamps.

31 Days of Halloween Day 5 - Goat Skull on Autumn Leaves

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!!   Gail here today for the 5th day of our 31 Days of Halloween Celebration.
Don't you just love Spooktober!!!   It is surely the most wonderful time of the year (part 1).
Today I have been playing with alcohol inks and Lost Coast Designs Large Goat Skull
I made the background using drops of pink, green and yellow alcohol ink on a felt pad and dabbing it all over my glossy card.  Then I stamped Lost Coast Designs Leaves Background using orange and pink inks.  I stamped the Goat Skull on white card with black archival ink, fussy cut and added it to the card.  I coloured the flower with purple distress ink and finally stamped part of Carmen's Veranda Witches Go Riding sentiment.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 4: A Misunderstood Gentleman

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings!  You've got Kathi here today with a spooky scenic card for the fourth day of Halloween! The card was created with the Clown with Balloon Rubber Stamp by Lost Coast Designs.

Here it is!

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink was used to stamp the Clown with Balloon twice — once onto the bottom of a 6" square image panel and once onto repositionable sticker paper.

The sticker paper version was fussy-cut and placed atop its counterpart as a mask.

A spider web stencil was placed over the image panel, then the outside part of the Drippy Arch Stencil was placed over it. Yellow, red, grey, and black Distress Inks were sponged over the combined stencils and the mask to create a spider web in a cave scenic background.

The stencils were removed, then the interior part of the Drippy Arch stencil was placed over the the center part of the image panel to cover the cave interior. Grey Distress Inks were sponged over the stencil. A stipple brush was used to pounce red, orange, and yellow Distress Ink over the newly inked background. Light Grey Distress Oxide Ink was also pounced over the the background to create a mottled look.

The stencil and mask were removed. The Clown with Balloon image was colored with Copic markers. A white pencil was used to add highlights to the balloon. The white spiderweb was too stark and the Clown with Balloon did not stand out sufficiently, so I used yellow Copic markers to color them. Much better.

I also wasn't thrilled with athe way the drippy arch looked so I used a black marker to outline the drippy bits. That also improved the image.

The image panel was trimmed to 5 5/8" square, the top corners were rounded with a corner-rounder punch, and black VersaFine Clair Ink was used to edge the image panel. Off white cardstock, that matched the Clown with Balloon's face, was cut to 5 3/4" square and used to mat the image panel.

A spiders die was used to cut the off-white cardstock, the spiders were detailed with Copic markers, then adhered to the spider web with dimensional foam adhesive under their bellies and glue on the end of their legs.

The image panel was adhered to a 6" square black card, a sticker was added under the Clown with Balloon's feet, and "Happy Halloween" was debossed on the top of the card as shown.

I sure hope you participate in this month's challenge for the chance to win Lo$t Coa$t Ca$h!
