Good afternoon, Cathy here a bit late for the blog post.

Stamps Used.

I started out stamping the Art Doll in black ink and then I made a tag from it. I then stamped a snowflake in red in from the Small snowflake set .around the tag. I then edged it in brown and I found a pattern paper that had red snowflakes on it to layer the tag.
Then< I added some tape and Christmas ephemera around. I then added it to a red plaid card base.

Come join the fun and show us your festive fun.

#203 Festive fun. I made a little Christmas lantern.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi there, Riet here with a christmas lantern.
Recently, I was in a store in the Netherlands that's comparable to a dollar store.
There I saw this lantern and immediately thought of the Mary and Angels triptych stamp.
I stamped the stamp on vellum with black Stazon ink.
I let it dry thoroughly.
I closed the back of the lantern with black cardstock.
I made the pionsettia from red paper and light green paper for the leaves.
The pionsettias were sprayed with gold glitter mist.
I sponged the edges of the large leaves and pionsettias with Distress Oxide Rustic Wilderness.
The holly branches are made from darker green paper, and the berries are glitter stones.
I covered the lantern itself with gold Inca Gold from Viva Decor.

I think the lantern looks lovely, and it creates a cozy atmosphere.
Are you making something with stamps thats festive?
It doesn't matter which brand, everything is allowed.
Then join the challenge. Don't forget to read the rules.
You could be the next winner and win stamps of your choice.

Here's another possibility with this stamp.

Merry Christmas

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Thanks for stopping by today - Darlene here with one of my Christmas makes.

The background I used distress inks, spritzed with some water then
added some white splatters.  Give it a bit of a snowy wintery evening look.
You can't see it in this picture, but it is layered onto a dark purple shiny paper too.

Using the Merry Christmas from the Party Words set
And then the CityScape stamp (did you know this comes in two sizes!!)

added a bit of silvery thread in behind the words.  and added some stars.  And yes , each star is glued on separately LOL.

I decided not to paint in the buildings.  Just liked the way the buildings looked. Sometimes less is a good thing.

So now your turn !  upload your christmas make to our challenge and maybe win some new Stamps!
Also, check out my blog for other makes this month.  blog-dar-blog.blogspot.com

Hello stamping friends, Aimee here! Christmas is just around the corner. Have you starting organizing your holiday cards yet? If not, here's a high-impact card that takes minimal effort to put together:
The black embossing on reflective silver cardstock makes this a beautiful card to hold:
I used the Mary and Angels stamp from Lost Coast Designs, black embossing powder and shiny silver cardstock to get this effect. Follow along with these photos to see the steps to make it:
I hope you enjoy creating and sending Christmas cards even half as much as I do! It's a wonderful way to connect with family and friends during the holiday season. Share your creation to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for your chance to win November's "Fun and Festive" prize.

Three Wise Gnomes

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here today with some simple inspiration for the Festive Fun Challenge. It's a busy time of year so I think it's nice to be able to stamp a quick make.
I stamped Lost Coast Designs 3 Gnomes on a white card base and coloured with water colour pencils.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs Reindeer Gnome on white card, coloured him and fussy cut.  I stuck him over the middle gnome and stamped the Happy Christmas sentiment.  I used a fancy sizzix die to cut the base card for some added some interest.
You have all month to share your stamped anythings with a Christmas theme.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.   Hope you get time to join the fun.  The team are sharing awesome inspiration all month so do check back often to see all their amazing projects.

Some treat boxes

I got theses acetate boxes at the dollar store and worked out great
for some goodies

I made sure the ribbon was placed so the packet could be opened easily for the treats.

So I used the Skull Crown stamp for the orange one
layered onto black then purple cardstock with the edges stressed

The the other is the
Witch - i mean which - was fussy cut out of course

Hope we have given y'all some inspiration this month!

31 Days of Halloween- Day 28

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello, Cathy here with some ID cards for you.

Stamps Used:

I started out by cutting cardstock to 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and coloring it with some distress ink. I stamped the ID from the travel stuff set and edged it with some dark brown distress ink.
Next, I stamped the faces of FrankBride of Franksmall skeleton and  Alfred Hitchcock Standing.

I added some Halloween snippets. I then took the numbers border and stamped it in red on all of the cards. I also took the ID and stamped the seal in red off the side.

In the travel stuff set there is another stamp that has a seal, and I stamped that on the other side.

I did them in the same style so they would all go together. This is the only one I stamped the seals in orange to go with the Halloween snippets color.

You still have a few more days to join in the Halloween challenge.
