Expand Your Horizons

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!
Hello stamping friends, Aimee here! I have a simple Lemon/Lime color theme card for June's Challenge in the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity:
I used a Mother Goose People stamp and sentiment from Travel Quotes. Wouldn't flying on a goose be an exciting way to get around? Maybe a bit terrifying, too, haha. Follow along with this photo tutorial to see how I made this card:
There's still a few days left to submit your creation to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity. My fingers are crossed you'll win this month's prize. Good luck! And happy stamping.

TaDa

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!   Gail here today with some inspiration for the new Animal challenge.  Fittingly I am using one of the new animals available in the shop.  This is TaDa Mouse.  Isn't he adorbs!!!
This was supposed to be a rocker card, but something wasn't working, so I mounted the front panel on a standard card base and he only rocks in my dreams.  I used Daisy Mae dies to cut the distressed arch panel and stamped TaDa.  I used promarkers for some touches of colour and added some die cut music staves.  The sentiment is from Lost Coast Designs Travel Quotes

'A journey is best measured in friends rather than miles'

You have all month to share your stamped anythings featuring Animals.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project for a chance to win the prize.
Thanks for dropping by.

Posh Hat

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!!  Gail here popping in from a hot Spring day in Norway with some cool inspiration for the HATS Challenge!
I've used Lost Coast Designs doll from Doodle Dolls 1 set, Travel Quotes and Concentric Circles Background

Oh my!!!!  Concentric Circles is my new favourite background!!!!  I wonder why I haven't grabbed this one before!  I used Sky Blue, Blue Bird and Cactus Flower archival inks and randomly smeared them on the stamp to get this mixed colour background.  Then I stamped the sentiment from Lost Coast Designs Travel Quotes.
I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the doll and added her to the background.  Then I decided the sentiment didn't pop enough so I made a sentiment panel and stamped it on there.   Done!
I hope you like my strange lady in her strange sky.  Grab your stamps and hats and join the fun for a chance to win Lost Coast dollars.  Don't forget, real rubber/clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.  Linky closes last minute of the month!

Hi everyone, welcome again to our Anything goes with Gnomes' challenge! Today it's my (Liesbeth) turn. This reading little Gnome is so lovely! 💓 Grab your Gnomes and stamp along with us!

This is how I made this card: I stamped Carmen's Veranda Compass Square four times (using a stamp positioner) with different light inks on a piece of paper and sponged here and there with the same four colours. With black ink, I stamped the tree, (a first and a second print as you can see), the crown and the script at the bottom and the text.(ATC birds in trees, Tree crown, Pieces of CalligraphyTravel Quotes) I stamped the Book Gnome on a seperate piece of cardstock, coloured it with Zig-markers and cut it out. I glued the Gnome onto the card and finished the card with gel pens and Zig-markers. I sponged the edges with black ink.

We want you to include stamped Inchies (1"x1") and/or Twinchies (2"x2") on your background.  Stamp, cut it up and rearrange it, like patchwork.  So you can use a whole stamped background and cut it up and rearrange it, or stamp on scraps with different stamps and piece it together, or do some fancy masking!  If you want to just add some stamped inchies then that's another interpretation so that works for the theme as well, but they should be a prominent part of your design.  Show us your interpretation but real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.  A small stamped sentiment in a sea of die cuts or digi images will not qualify to win the prize and you may be deleted!!!!  Bwahahhaaahaha.

Coffee with Dali

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!  Gail here today.
Thanks to everyone who enter out Ladies Night challenge.  We really appreciate your support.
For the last part of the month we are going to turn our sights to the men.
Link up your stamped masculine makes for a chance to win.  The team are busy filling the blog with fabulous inspiration and here's my take on The Man Cave challenge...
I've used Lost Coast Designs Leaves Background and Travel Quotes and
Carmen's Veranda Salvador Dali stamp.

I stamped Salvador Dali on a scrap of kraft card with black archival ink, masked and stamped the leaves background with carnation archival.
I cut using Stamplorations cup die and added some white gel pen highlights.  I used a red Promarker to edge the die cut, and later I also went round with a black Promarker.

I stamped the leaves background with dandelion archival on glossy white card, just cos it was the first piece of white I found, and sometimes you gotta try these things......

I left a white border when I cut the panel and edged with yellow and orange Promarker.  I used the cup die and cut some black craft foam to give the cup a bit more dimension.  I used the TRAVEL and WANDERLUST stamps from the travel quotes set and brown archival and stamped them randomly around the background.  Then I stamped the sentiment, also from the travel quotes set and added it to the card.

'Try everything once, then try it again somewhere else'

Thanks for visiting.  Don't forget to link up your masculine makes for a chance to win.
