Ready To Party

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!  Gail here today with my final 2022 post here at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  The current challenge is Something Seasonal and since the season is progressing to a new year I went with this party queen...

I stamped Party On on white card with black archival ink, masked her and stamped Lost Coast Designs Door with magenta archival ink.
I used distress ink and applied a watercolor wash of blue and yellow.  Since the card panel was wet I decided to rip the edges for a softer look.  I colored Party On with some neon bright colours, mounted the panel on a white card base and stamped Happy New Year in pink.

You have until the last minute of the year to link up your stamped seasonal anythings for a chance to win Lost Coast Dollars

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope you have a safe New Years Eve and a very happy and healthy 2023.

# 157 Something seasonal challenge

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello blog visitor, Riet here with the last dt post of this year.
There is still time for you to join our challenge.
Did you guys have a good Christmas, I did.
So now we go to the new year.
So I made an invitation card for a new years party.
I used these stamps for it.

I used Distress oxide peacock feathers and Seedless preserves.
And a waterproof black ink.
A stencil.
Masking tape.

I started by inking the stencil with seedless preserves.
Spray with a little water and print on the paper.

Then stamp and mask the girl with waterproof black ink.
If you find masking too difficult, you can also stamp and stick her on thin paper.

Use the other stamps as on the example.
But of course you can also make your own mix.

Remove the mask and color the girl with the distress oxide.

Stamp the words from the Party words sheet and glue them on the card.
Make an outline with black and the distress colors.
Finally, splash some black ink here and there on the card.
I hope you liked it.
And there is still time to join the challenge.
You have a chance to win beautiful rubber stamps.

For me this is my last contribution of this year,
So I wish you a nice end of the year party.
And see you next year.

Something Seasonal: Hark the Herald Angels!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

It's Laurie here with my last post for the year 2022.  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, and I send you all the best wishes for the coming New Year.  And in keeping with the holiday theme. I have a little card full of angels for you!

This was created using the Herald Angels stamp from Lost Coast Designs.  My background is a pink and orange gel print I had in my stash with a bit of stenciling added.  I stamped directly onto the print with black ink, and when dry, cut a neat border around the edges.  I layered this with a gold panel, white panel, and finally a pinkish-orange panel and added three sparkly gold stars for some glitter.  Simple but this is such a wonderful stamp that you don't need a lot of extras when using this one.

You still have until the end of the month to enter your seasonal projects for a last chance in 2022 to win some free stamps from Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda!

Just Like Santa

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!   Only a few sleeps left til santa calls!!   It's too late for cards now so I am finishing some last minute tags.  Doesn't Mona look splendid in her Santa hat!!!!!

I cut my tags using a Stamploration die which has a nice stitch edge and stamped Santa Mona with black archival ink.  I masked Mona and stamped the Small Snowflakes using blue archival ink.  It's great that you get 8 snowflakes in the set cos then you can stamp them all at the same time!  And as they say, everyone is different LOL.
And what's better than one Mona?????
Three Monas!!!!!
Join the Something Seasonal challenge with your seasonal stamped anythings
for a chance to win Lost Coast dollars.

Star of Hope

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday!

It's Sue here with my 3rd project for our Something Seasonal challenge, and I'm very sad to say that it is my last design team project. I've had a wonderful time here, but with a beautiful new granddaughter to visit, my craft room is going to be rather neglected!

I started by adding some ink to glossy card and spraying with water for a snowy effect.

Then I stamped the fabulous Cityscape and bleached out the colour from the background.
The Angel On The World has to be one of my favourite ever Lost Coast stamps. She's just been coloured with some Tim Holtz distress pens.

My lovely stamps

I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank Linda and the lovely ladies of the DT for having me for the past couple of years, and to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful 2023 xx

A Happy Gnomey Christmas!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Good morning and a very happy Friday! Can you believe we're halfway through December and hurtling toward Christmas at breakneck pace! If it isn't done by now.... you probably live in our house and in your mind there's still LOADS of time lol.

For my second card I've used one of my favourite combos, kraft card, white ink, and coloured pencils.

I started with Brilliance ink and a leaf stencil. Then added a little bit of blue (not so delicately) around the edges.

A little bit of snowy spatter makes everything look better!
These are my lovely stamps, I've used my trusty

I hope you're having fun with your own Christmas preparations, and that you join in with our challenge.

Take care and have a very happy weekend x

Something Seasonal: Wishing You A Gnome-y Christmas

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Christmas is drawing near, and it's Laurie here again with a holiday tag using the Pompom Gnome stamp from Lost Coast Designs.  This is just one of a whole array of gnome stamps you can find at the Lost Coast website.  Some holiday, some others good for any occasion!

My background for this little tag is a collage I created using holiday themed papers and ephemera.  I cut out a section for my tag and edged it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I then stamped my gnome with black ink onto white card stock and fussy cut him out.  I colored his suit evergreen green and added a bit of color to his nose, beard, and shoes, all using Copic Sketch markers.  I then attached him to the front of my tag with dimensional tag.

Finally, I added some white glitter to his beard and the pompom on his hat and some Glossy Accents to his shoes.  I punched a hole in the upper left corner and tied a piece of evergreen ribbon through the hole.

I hope you are enjoying this run-up to the holidays.  We hope to see your holiday creations here on the Portal as we might be gifting you with some free stamps if you are the lucky monthly winner!!

Have A Holly Jolly Christmas

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday!

It's Sue here with my first project for our Something Seasonal challenge.

I've had this stencil since last Christmas, and now it's finally come out of the packet!

As I have rather a lot of cards to make (and I've not really started yet) I needed something that I can batch make but that still looks nice.

I coloured my coated card with Distress oxides, then stamped and cut out Georges and Louis. This is a simple shape to cut out and I like how the brown looks against the blues.

As you can tell, this stamp has been very well-loved lol.

I've just added some glitter to the red berries, and a Tim Holtz sticker.

I hope you join in with our challenge and link up your seasonal piece.

Take care and have a very happy December xx
