31 Days of Halloween Day 31 (part 2) - Into The Labyrinth

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Welcome to Day 31 of the 31 Days of Halloween here at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  Gail here today with our final offering for this spooktacular celebration of the most bootastic time of the year.  The team has worked hard to provide inspiration every day and I hope you have enjoyed visiting and seeing all their amazing projects.  A big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to leave a comment.  We have had so much fun doing this event we have two projects today!!  Be sure to scroll down and check out Puff's gorgeous bingo card below this post.  So, here's my project featuring one of Lost Coast Designs new releases Taurus.

What a fierce fellow he is.  Wouldn't like to meet him on a dark and stormy night.  Luckily he is safely lost in the labyrinth, wandering to his hearts content.  I stamped, embossed and fussy cut Taurus and coloured him with sharpies, distress inks and gold pilot marker.  I stamped Lost Coast's Fourth Dimension on red card and embossed with black powder.  I did this three times and have arranged them to make my 'labyrinth' background.  I used a wood grain embossing folder and distress ink on brown Bazzill to make my doorway.  The sentiment is Carmen's Veranda All Who Wander

Thanks for dropping by.  Don't forget to leave a comment so we know you were here.

There is still time to join the Halloween challenge with your stamped makes.  Linky closes at Midnight.  Bwahahahahahaaaahaa

Now you need to hop over to TEE

Don't forget to drop by tomorrow cos here at the Portal we will be rolling straight into our Day Of The Dead celebrations.

Day 30 of 31 Days of Halloween

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Boo! Cathy here with a altered box for Day 30 of the 31 Days of Halloween.
It started out as a box that had a pair of headphones in it.
Here is the front cover.
First I covered the whole box with black gesso. Next I painted the whole box with black paint that I mixed in some antique effect. (you can kinda see it in the next photo)
I stamped the small skeleton on white paper, tore around it and edged with brown ink. Added splashes of orange, brown and gray to skeleton. Added a rub-on. Raised it up with foam dots.  Distressed the edges of pattern paper and edged with the same brown ink. Then I added washi tape and layers of ephemera.

On the side you need to open. I added the same distressed pattern paper and edged with the same brown ink. I used the Rustic Alphabet Set. Stamped out OPEN and cut out and inked the sides with brown ink.
On the other side I used the same paper and distressed it the same way and I took the Small Skeleton and just stamped the head 8 times and cut out and added it down the side.
Back cover. Same paper, same distress. Added a large piece of  ephemera to the middle. I then stamped Flying Skull 3 times on white paper. Colored the skull with a cream colored marker and cut out. Glued in place.
Inside.
I took some pattern paper and did the left side of the box. Edged with brown ink. For my scene inside the box I took a sheet of watercolor paper and cut it to fit in the inside of the box. I made the sky background using Nuance Powers. Once that was dry I took a stencil and added some stars with white ink. Next I stamped the Small Skeleton 2 times on scrap white paper. Fussy cut out one. Covered edge with black marker. glued him to back. Next I did some die cutting and made the grave yard scene.
Last I fussy cut the hand and part of the arm and stuck it coming out of a grave.
Done.

31 Days of Halloween, Day 29 - Batty

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Welcome back to the 31 Days of Halloween.  Things are winding down and there are only a couple of more days left in the month.

For today's installment, I created a coaster using the new Batty stamp.  I sprayed the coaster with a couple of different orange inks then stenciled on a gothic design.  I stamped Batty on a piece of cardstock, cut out the image, and colored with pencils.  I used my computer to print Happy Halloween.

If you are hopping in order, your next stop is TEE.

Hello and welcome to Day 28 of the 31 Days of Halloween here at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  Gail here with something to separate the tricksters from the treatsters.  Halloween is creeping up fast, in a zombie, fingers falling off and watch out for mouldy toes sort of way.   I decided it was time to peel back the veil and let the creatures from the other dimension in.  Hold onto your candy!!!!!
Don't worry!  He's only after your chocolate!!!
This is Lost Coast Designs Cheshire Cat and the sentiment is a collaboration of two clear sentiment stamps from Carmen's Veranda.  Full paper ripping details on my blog.

Day 27 of 31 Days of Halloween

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy again with Day 27 of the 31 Days of Halloween

Here is a cute card I made for Halloween.
First I die cut the insta photo die out of ivory cardstock. Stamped Isle of Aud Animals. I picked the giraffe out of this set but I think any of them would look cute in this. In the die set it had a witches hat and I knew the giraffe had to have it. Cut that out of black and yellow cardstock and glued it to the top of the giraffes head.
Next I took my Copic markers in Halloween colors and dotted around the giraffe.
Then I edge the frame with brown distress ink. Stuck a word sticker on the front of it. Taped the inside down, used foam squares on the frame to give it height.

Day 26 of 31 Days of Halloween

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy here with Day 26 of the 31 Days of Halloween. Almost All Hallows Eve.
I have a card to share with you today.
This is a fun and messy card to make.
I started of with my flying skull stamp. I stamped it with Versafine ink 3 times on my white card.
Next I put white embossing power over the 3 flying skull images. Heat embossed them.
Next I picked out some Halloween colors of Distress ink.
I took a piece of plastic and smooched one color on it. Sprayed it with a little water and smooched it on top of the card. Did the same thing for the rest of the colors till I was happy how the card looked.
wiped the ink off the embossed skulls. Then I dried it with my heat gun.
Done.
I hope you enjoyed this. I will see you here tomorrow to share another card I made.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Welcome to day 25! It's Sue here (again I hear you say) Halloween wouldn't be Halloween if there was no Edgar, so without further ado, here's the man himself.

Of all my Halloween project, this one was by far the faffiest, (haha Grammarly has thrown a strop over faffiest ) but I do like how it's turned out.
I've stamped Skulls and Bones Background onto black card and embossed in white. This is now a page in my cloth album.
Edgar Allan Poe has been stamped onto shrink plastic, and Goth Shrine has been stamped into various colours of UTEE. Nevermore Raven is a Carmen's Veranda clear stamp.

There's still lots of time for you to join in, so please link up!

31 Days of Halloween Day 22 - The Raven and the Moon

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi from Laurie!  The month is going by so fast - we are already onto Day 22 of the 31 Days of Halloween here at the Lost Coast Portal.  Hope you have been busy making some Halloween goodies along with us.

For today, I have another card featuring the Forward Crow stamp from Carmen's Veranda.  My background is a piece of Halloween paper.  I die cut a fence out of black paper and attached that to the bottom portion of my Halloween paper.  I then glued a die cut moon face to the upper left corner.  I stamped my Raven (well he's really a crow but for this month, he's a raven!) with black ink on white card stock and cut him out.  I colored his beak and legs with orange marker and cut a little snip into his beak so he could hold the Trick or Treat sentiment.  I attached him to the top of my fence with some foam tape.  I then layered this with white then black card stock and he's a done deal!

Day 21 of 31 days of Halloween

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy here on day 21 of the 31 days of Halloween
I made a card for today and who better for a Halloween Card then Alfred Hitchcock
So I started off stamping Alfred Hitchcock on a white cardstock panel . Next I stamped him again on a scrap of copy paper and made a mask. Cut out and covered. Next I took the flying birds background and stamped only on one side of the card panel.  Edged the panel with red distressed ink. Last I took the drips  stamp and stamped it in the same red I used to ink the edge and stamped the top of the red card with it. That is my card for today. I hoped you will join in our Halloween and Animal challenge and event we have going on.

31 Days of Halloween Day 20 - The Bare Bones Of It

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello, Gail here today and I hope you are having a bootastic time hopping along and seeing all the spooktacular offerings from the Wicked Bloggers.   It's Day 20 of the 31 Days of Halloween and I think we might have stumbled into the back lot of the Bates' Motel.
I am not sure if Bird Bones is holding up that sign or weighing it down.  How heavy is a skeleton bird??   I do know that Happy Skeleton lost his head and ran off leaving his smile behind.  Oooh, look at the time.  Take my advice, don't ask these two clowns anything, but do take a minute to leave a little love so we know you dropped by.

Day 19 of the 31 Days of Halloween - The Farmer and His Wife Party!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi again from Laurie!  It's already day 19 of the 31 day Halloween Blog Hop, so I hope you have been busy making some fun Halloween stamped goodies!

For this one, I decided to use a non-Halloween stamp and make it Halloween-y!

I used the American Gothic Party stamp, which is one of my favorite Lost Coast Design stamps.  I stamped my image with black ink onto white card stock.  I added some color to their faces and colored the farmer's vest orange, in the spirit of the season.  I then cut out some of the background behind the figures so I could use my own background.  I mounted my stamped image onto a blue/gray background I created with some Distress Oxide Inks.  I tucked a shining full moon into the left corner and added a couple of bats flying around.  Last I gave Mr. and Mrs. both witch's hats and parked a pumpkin in the lower left corner.  I colored the frame with brown marker and used gold marker to outline the inside edge - trying to give it the look of a vintage picture frame.  Then mounted this to white then black card stock.  A fab Halloween card!!

Good Morning and happy Tuesday, it's Sue here with Day 17 of our 31 Days of Halloween blog hop.  Today it's the turn of my hopeless raven.

This is quite a large wooden tag that's been painted with DecoArt fluid acrylics. The beautiful Goth Raven has been stamped on a Gelli print.

Day 16 of 31 Days of Halloween

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!
Cathy here with Day 16 of 31 days of Halloween. Can you believe it is day 16 already.
I decided to make a banner. This is a easy banner to make. First off I got the banner from a store. Mine I picked up at Target in the dollar area.
Then I had a plan in mind. I wanted to use the small skeleton on the panels of the banner. When I opened up the banner I saw that there was 3 different sizes of panels. That is when I saw my small skeleton would not fit on all the panels. So I grabbed my flying skull to use on my smaller panels.
So I stamped the small skeleton 4 times on white card stock. Cut out. Then I glued on panel.
Then I skipped a panel.
I didn't take a photo of the blank panel.
Next I stamped flying skull 3 times on white cardstock and cut out. Then I glued on panel
All done.
Hang where you want.

Join the fun and enter your own Halloween creations!

31 Days of Halloween Day 15 - The Masked Kitty

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Welcome from Laurie to Day 15 of our 31 day Halloween Blog Hop!  For Day 15, I've got a friendly little fellow here who not only fits the bill for Halloween but also works with our Animal Challenge which is also going on right now on the Portal.  So this is a two-fer!

I created this little guy by stamping the cat image onto white paper with black ink.  I used the Cat Triangle stamp from Lost Coast.  I used Copic markers to color him in Halloween colors then glued a little black mask over his face.  He is mounted onto a piece of Halloween paper with a couple of little cobwebs in the upper corners and two little black pumpkins with Halloween messages that I cut out of a larger piece of scrapbook paper.  He's about ATC sized so could be either an ATC or a smaller card.  There's a whole collection of these kitty cats at Lost Coast Designs so check them out!

31 Days of Halloween Day 14 - Haunted

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Welcome back to the 31 Days of Halloween.  I hope you are enjoying all the projects you are seeing here and on the other blogs that are participating.  It's a lot of work for the designers but it's something we truly enjoy doing.

Today, I have a tag to share with you.
I started by adding some Dylusions paint in red and black to the top of the tag then spraying with water until it ran down.  Once I dried that, I went in with some sepia colored ink and added some highlights.  I stamped RIP on a separate piece of cardstock, cut him out, and colored with pencils (isn't he creepy?).  The "Haunted" is a sticker I painted to blend with the background.  The skeleton at the bottom right is something I found while digging through my Halloween stash.  Lastly, I drew lines around the tag and finished it off with some black fiber.

If you are hopping in order, your next visit will be to Tee.  Have fun, and thank you for joining us for the 31 Days of Halloween.

Can't Stop The Feeling - 31 Days of Halloween Day 13

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Woo Hoo day 13 already of the 31 Days of Halloween blog hop, and to help celebrate this, and more importantly my (Sue's) birthday, here's Sir Justin of Timberlake and his backing dancers.

For this one I've used Dancing Skeletons and Domino Shrine, and a Tando shrine. I've used my Gelli plate (well I have to use it for something) for my reverse stamping.

Remember same time, same place tomorrow for more wonderful inspiration from one of my teamies, and you should also need to join in the fun with this and our animal challenges.

31 Days of Halloween Day 12 - Mad

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Good morning all and welcome back another day of the 31 Days of Halloween.  We are in Day 12 and once again, it's my turn to share some Halloween fun.

I started out by stamping Cheshire Cat onto a piece of cardstock, cutting him out, and coloring with pencils.  I then took a 4" x 4" art tile and sprayed it with a couple of different colors of orange ink.  When it was dry, I used an embossing folder to add texture and then swiped over it with black ink.  I printed out the sentiment on my computer and added it to the top.  Finally, I added a few enamel dots at two of the corners.

If you are hopping in order, your next visit will be to Tee.  Have fun, and thank you for joining us for the 31 Days of Halloween.

31 Days of Halloween Day 11 - Pumpkin Scarecrow

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

This is Laurie, and it's Day 11 of the 31 Days of Halloween.  It's been such fun for all of us on the Design Team and I hope it's been a lot of fun for you as well and that you have been entering your creations here on the Portal.

I decided to move away from the more macabre side of Halloween and do something a bit more mainstream.  This is an ATC but could easily be made into a card.

I used the Pumpkin Scarecrow stamp from Carmen's Veranda.  I stamped this guy with black into onto white card stock.  I colored him with Copic markers and used a white gel pen to highlight his teeth and a gold marker to highlight the buttons and stars on his jacket.  My background is a piece of scripted Halloween paper that I cut to ATC size and edged with black ink.  I used the 3 Mini Birds stamp from Lost Coast Designs with black ink and added the birds around the edges.  I attached a black cobweb sticker to the upper right corner and stamped the numbers 31 on the left corner.  Finishing touch is to tuck a little Halloween message into my scarecrow's right hand.

31 Days of Halloween Day 10 - The Raven Witch

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Happy 10th of October from Laurie and I hope it finds you creating some fun Halloween goodies that you can share on the blog challenge going on until the end of the month.

This is another card I created using the LCD Raven Prince Small stamp and the Grunge Black Swirl Background stamp from Carmen's Veranda.

I used a background paper I had made previously with my Gelli plate (again!), some green, blue and yellow acrylic paints and a piece of corrugated cardboard that I used to make the patterns in the paint.  I heat embossed the Raven right onto my background with black embossing powder.  I then took the Grunge Black Swirl background stamp, and using just the edges, I stamped around the edges with black ink.  I put a little witch's hat on his head and glued a star to it.  Using my vintage typewriter, I typed "Nevermore" onto a green scrap layered with white and attached it to his beak.  The whole piece gets mounted onto black card stock then to a white card.

31 Days of Halloween Day 9 - Nevermore

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Good morning everyone and welcome back to the 31 Days of Halloween.  We are in Day 9 and it's my turn to share some Halloween fun.

When I think of Halloween, I not only think of ghosts and ghoulies, vampires and witches, but I also think of Edgar Allen Poe.  He wrote such wonderful scary, creepy stories.  One of my favorite bits is from The Raven so I decided to use that bit on a coaster.
To make it dark and slightly ominous, which fits the poem, I sprayed the background with black, white, and gray inks after I had gesso'd the coaster.  I allowed the ink to move around as it dried since I wanted the background to be cloudy.  I then used the Crows border stamp (yeah, I know crows aren't ravens but it was close enough LOL) to randomly stamp across the coaster.  Just mask off all but one bird on the border stamp with a bit of tape, ink up, remove the tape, stamp, and repeat.  It gives your border stamps more uses than just as a border.

Next, I stamped the Raven from Mother Goose Birds on the left hand side in black ink.  My Misty helped me get it very, very black.  I then printed out the bit of the poem in Gothic print, misted it lightly with gray ink, and added it to my coaster.

31 Days of Halloween Day 7 - Such Wickedness

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Welcome back to Day 7 of the 31 Days of Halloween.  It's Laurie again and I have a wicked little creature to scare up some Halloween fun!

I started this one with some background paper I had made previously with my Gelli plate, some vintage papers, and some acrylic paints and stencils.  I used the Evil Eye stamp for this one, stamping him with black ink onto white card stock.  I colored him with Copic markers and added some Glossy Accents to his eyes and his teeth to give them a bit more depth. I cut him out and pasted him to my back ground piece.  I rubbed a little Distress Ink around the edges then mounted onto some white card stock.  I think this is one of my favorite Halloween stamps from Lost Coast - he's just got such a wicked look about him!

31 Days of Halloween Day 6 - Frank's Memories

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Welcome to Day 6 of the 31 Days of Halloween. Today you get Cathy. That's me.
I made this card to share with you all today.  I call it Frank's Memories. I started out with a black card base. Next I stamped Gothic ATC text on different spots on the card with white ink. Then I grabbed a Tim Holtz Halloween stencil (skull crossbones is the one I used). Again I used white ink and added it through the stencil. I then took an evidence tag, filled it out, added water and scrunched it up. I dried it with a heat gun, distressed the edges and added brown ink to them.  Got a poison label and inked the edges of that with brown ink. Set all aside, I stamped Frank on copic friendly paper and colored him in with copic markers. Cut him out and edged with black marker, so you don't see white around the edge.
Now I assemble the card. Added the poison label to the card. I took the tag and added the charm and the string and added foam squares to the back to raise it up next I added Frank. Using foam squares on him also. Last I edged the card with white ink to tie it all together.
