Hello

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy here with a fun card for you today.
Stamps Used:

My card is a great way to use up your scraps and clean ups from other cards you were making.
I started with a sheet of clean up cardstock from something I was doing before. I cut it down to be a top folding card. Next, I stamped doodle circle background on it.
I then used some left-over circles die cut from who knows what?  and stamped 2 of the misc. anthropomorphs inside the circles. Edged them with some black ink.

I then added a black strip of leftover cardstock down the front of the card and added the 2 stamped circles on top of it.
Lastly, I added a hello die cut.
Today is the last day to join the challenge here.

Tweet This: Ducks In A Row

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi from Laurie with a fun card for our newest challenge:  Tweet This.  Think all things bird related for this one.  This card uses the Doodle Circles background stamp and the Vertical Party Hats border stamp from Lost Coast Designs.  The duck stamp from the Duck and Bunny set and the clear stamp, Ducks In A Row, are both from Carmen's Veranda.
The background for this started with a piece of scrapbook paper.  Using the Doodle Circles stamp, I randomly stamped some pink and yellow Oxide Distress Inks onto the paper.  I also edged the paper with the yellow ink and used a darker shade of pink ink to "splatter" the paper as well.

The duck was stamped with black ink onto white card stock and colored with Copic Sketch markers, then fussy cut out.  The hat was stamped onto pink card stock, cut out, and affixed atop the duck's head.  I then attached the duck to the left side of the card front with foam tape for dimension.  The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock with black ink and layered with a piece of pink card stock.  This was then attached as shown to the right side of the card front.  Done and dusted!

Let's see what fun creations you can make for this newest "birdie" challenge!  Be sure to feature rubber stamping in your projects, and you just might win some free stamps from Carmen's Veranda and Lost Coast Designs!

Save the trees: Fabric book cover ,Frida'

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everyone, it's Liesbeth again, stamping on everything but paper! There's still time to participate our ,Save the Trees' challenge: click HERE.
This time I've chosen a big piece of white fabric, used lots of stamps on it and covered an A4 plain book with it! Unfortunately I can't explain how I exactly did it, because this technique is one of my workshops.....

My Untidy Mind

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday. It's Sue here with my piece for our Save The Trees challenge.  By that, we mean to stamp on anything other than ordinary paper. I decorated a phone holder 'cos you can never have too many of these.

I started with my naked phone holder (I'm sure it's not real wood lol)
I applied some base paint by pressing it on my gelli plate, then I stamped with Doodle Circles. This is a lovely stamp to colour in, which I did with paint pens and silver acrylic.

Next came the sentiment. If I'd thought this through I'd have realised that I could have used tissue paper, but never mind. This is construction tape - a little like duct tape but you can paint it. So I just stuck it to my craft mat then painted it white.

Then I stamped my Carmen's Veranda Tidy Minds stamp.

I just cut around it and stuck it in place. I was a little bit surprised that it was still sticky, but it certainly was!

And this is how it looks with my phone in place! I don't know how, but this cover blends in wherever it is, so it's great to have a proper place for it (and this way I remember to charge it too so it's a win-win!)

I only used 2 stamps on this one, that must be some sort of record! I've used

I hope you like it, and that you join in with our fun challenge. Take care, and thanks so much for looking xx

Gnomeo Gnomeo, Wharefore Art Thou Gnomeo?

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. It's Sue here with my second piece for our Gnomes challenge, and I thought it was time that I brought a bit of culture!

I've often wondered (and by 'often' I mean never) what would have become of Romeo and Juliet if they hadn't died young. My guess is she'd have got a little chunky and he would only change his socks when nagged.

I started by stamping my background with Doodle Circles and colouring in with alcohol markers.

Next, I stamped, coloured, and cut out Sunglasses Gnome and Coffee. I gave Coffee a gnome hat from 3 Gnomes. I've given them both a nice romantic heart 'cos they still love each other really, and let's face it, no-one else would have them! Many a long-lasting marriage has been build on this principle.

The sentiment has just been typed up on my computer - I won't tell you what Juliet thought about Gnomeo!

You still have a full week to join in with our challenge, so please have a go and link up for the chance to win some Lost Coast dollars. Take care, and enjoy the rest of your weekend xx

Festive Fun - Woof Woof Christmas!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Welcome friends to the Festive Fun Challenge!

Today I wanted to share my dog-gone fun Christmas card with you....

How fun is that? Perfect for any dog-lover in your life and so easy to do.

I started off with a fun background that I had in my stash. I stamped the Doodle Circles background using Imagine's VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink then embossed with black embossing powder.

Next I colored the various circles with alcohol inks.

I then stamped and colored the Many Dogs background stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. I fussy cut particular dogs to fit into each circle and glued them down.

A bit of pen work in between the circles and the stamped sentiment and I called it good.

There's still time to join in on the fun!!

Art Doll Shrine

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Good Morning Friends...Ink Stained Roni here with another inspiring project for our current Challenge #95 Winged Things.

It's been a while since I played with Gothic Arches so I thought it would be just the ticket. LCD/CV has so many fun "Winged Things" it was hard to decide which one(s) to use.  I went with the Art Doll for the outside which I paired with the Ledger and Doodle Circles.

But that wasn't enough so I created this on the inside!

I started off by stamping all the fun images...parts from Victoriana, Doors & Windows, Jewel Shrine, Small Cityscape, the Long Swirl and  the Flying Moon.

I then added all sorts of VersaFine Clair inks directly on the Gothic Arch and some through a stencil.  The Flying Moon was stamped on a scrap of paper and colored then mounted on the GA with foam tape.

I used sentiment stickers from Prima and then inked all of the edges with VFC Nocturne ink.

I was so much fun to get inky with this piece...
I hope it has inspired you to join in on the fun.
