Tags: Oriental Doll Tag

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

It's Laurie here with a reminder that you still have a few days left to make and enter your tag projects here on the Portal for a chance to win some free stamps.  Only requirement is that your project is in the tag format, so that leaves you free to be as creative as you want!

This tag uses the Oriental Doll stamp from Lost Coast Designs.  This was pretty simple but I love this stamp and finding different ways to add color to it.  I started by stamping my doll onto white card stock and cutting it out.  Using red and yellow Copic Sketch markers, I colored in the doll.  I then took a gold gel pen and added highlights to the doll's hair and her costume.  I think that the gold accents really kicked it up a notch.  I used the same markers to color in the checked border and added some gold rick rack to the top as my tag hanger.

We look forward to seeing your tag makes - challenge ends the end of November so hurry and get them posted!!

Butterfly tag

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello, Cathy here with a butterfly tag.
Also, Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 if you celebrate it.

Stamps used:
brush strokes (new stamp set)

I started out with some watercolor paper and 2 colors of distress oxide ink. I did the lighter color first and smooching the ink pad down and dipping the tag in it. Dry and repeat with the darker color. Dry.
I then stamped the drips from the brush strokes on the top.
Next, I stamped the mini butterfly collage on black cardstock and white heat embossed and tear the top down.
I then stamped 2 butterflies from the butterfly set coming out of the collage image.

#156, Tag you're it

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi there, today its a tag for the challenge at Lost coast Designs.
The stamps i used are:

I made a background with a bubbles stencil.
I stamped the fish collage stamp with black stazon on it.
Then I drew a wobble line above the stamp with a waterproof fineliner.
Above that I stamped the swirl with black stazon.
And another wobble line drawn.
Above that I stamped the checkerboard.
And gave the stamp white squares with a white posca marker.
I stuck washi tape under the collage stamp.
And underneath that I stamped the checkerboard border again,
and just like above I made the open blocks white with a posca marker.
With markers i colored the collage stamp.

Now about this beautiful collage stamp.
There are 8 new collage stamps on the LCD site.
There is also a nice new set of stamps called "Brush strokes".
Feel free to take a look, click here to view them.

Tag You're It: Goddess

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everyone!

For our challenge Tag You're It (Click for participating and information! :-) ) I (Liesbeth) made this tag with the beautiful Winged Girl

Using red Distress ink (Lumberjack plaid) and water, I made a background and I stamped the girl and text Goddes (Mystery Eternity Hope Goddess) with StazOn ink Jet Black. I stamped Daisy Flourish with red a few times. I bleached the woman and finished with yellow and white gel pens and charcoal.

Now it's your turn to make a tag or two ;-) Hope to see you!

Tags: Keep Calm and Sparkle

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

What a fun "Tag"challenge this is proving to be already!  It's Laurie here again, and I have a cute owl-y tag for you featuring one of the cute little owls from the Katzelkraft Owl Set from Lost Coast Designs and the Keep Calm clear stamp from Carmen's Veranda.

I stamped my little lady owl with black ink onto white card stock and fussy cut her out.  She was colored with Copic Sketch markers.  The base for my card is a piece of tissue paper that was printed on my Gel pad using shades of pastel paints and some stencils.  I layered this over a piece of text and attached the two layers to my tag base.  The edges were dabbed with pink Oxide Distress Ink.

The owl was then attached with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment with black ink onto a white scrap.  The corners were snipped off and the edges dabbed with the same pink Oxide Distress Ink.  I added some sparkle with a glitter gel pen and attached the sentiment above the owl as shown.  Final touch is a sparkly pink ribbon at the top.

We are looking forward to seeing your terrific tag makes.  Be sure to feature some rubber stamping on your tags for a chance to win some free stamps from Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda!

I'll explain how I made it.

Hello, today I have a vintage tag for the tag challenge.
I myself love this style, I like old stuff and romantic style.
The roses stamp and the label set is perfect for this vintage tag.
I'll explain how I made it.

This is what I used.

Distress ink
Victorian velvet
Aged mahogany
Distress oxide
Bundled sage
Rustic wilderness
Stazon timber brown
Markers or pencils in the same colours.
Crealies xxl tag nr.6

With victorian velvet I made some ink stains on the tag.
I applied ink to the stencil with Distress aged mahogany and sprayed it with a little bit of water.
You can print the stencil on the tag.
I did the same with the victorian velvet.
Then I added Aged mahogany here and there with an inkblender brush and the stencil.
Look what a beautiful background you get.

With the ledger stamp and Aged mahogany I placed a print here and there.
This will give your background more depth.
And with Rustic wilderness I stamped the roses on the right corner of the tag.
while the background is drying well, we continue with the Label and rose stamp.
We stamp these stamps with Stazon Timber brown.
I colored them with water based markers.
Cut them out, I cut the roses into pieces.
This way you can arrange the roses more easily around the label.
Stick the label on the tag with foam tape and do the same with the roses.
Hope you liked this tutorial,
and join oure tag challenge at Lost Coast Designs and Carmen Veranda's stamps.
There is new rubber for the winner.
You can even join with other brands, you can read all about it in the rules.
Have a nice day and till next time.

Hi everyone! Liesbeth here showing you a  Skull Flourish card for our Spooktacular Florals Challenge! There's a few days left for you to join us!

Using Versamark ink I stamped the Daisy Flourish two times and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I bleached the skull with pure bleach. After that I stamped the Paradise Square (CV), just the text part of it. I finished the piece with glitter gel pens (flowers).

Dia De Los Muertos

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday.  It's Sue here and I'm continuing with the Spooky Florals challenge by bringing you my Day of the Dead couple.

I started by making my floral background with the Flowers background stamp.

Then I stamped and embossed another piece with Carmen's Veranda Skulls and Bones Background to make my spooky flowers.

Aren't the Day Of The Dead Man and Woman a fun couple. He may be carrying the knife but she looks scarier to me!

These are my fab stamps

Once again it's a great fun challenge, so please join in for the chance to win some Lost Coast $'s.
Take care whatever you are doing, and have a very happy November x
