Things with wings challenge, Winged skeleton.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

 Hi there, Riet here.
What a fun challenge this month!
I immediately thought of this beautiful stamp from Carmens Veranda Stamps,
This card is very simple to make.
I colored the stamp with pencils, which is something I really enjoy doing.
I also used layers of designer paper.
For that, I used June Bug by Basic Grey.
I Distressed the edges of the paper and inked it with Distressink Walnut Stain.
I Also added a voile bow and a copper flower with a green stone.
I glued a glitter stone heart onto the sternum.

I hope you'll join the challenge.
There are beautiful, high-quality rubber stamps to be won.
You can participate with any brand, as long as stamps have been used.
So come and join in!

Glitter in your Heart

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello, Cathy here with a card for you today.
Stamps Used:

I started off with a heart stencil and I used the new pink color of distress ink and blended it onto a pink card base. Then I took a stamp from the Pieces of Calligraphy and stamped it with a different color pink ink inside of the heart stencil.
Next, I took the Winged skeleton and stamped it with black ink and cut out the inner circle of it. I added foam squares to the back and placed it in the middle of the card. I colored the heart with a red marker and I added some glitter to the top.

#131- 31 days of Halloween, Hanging of the raven. Day 27

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi there, kreepy monsters.
Are you scared yet????

Today this card for the Halloween challenge.
You can still participate, it runs until 31.

I started with the door and window stamp set.
I stamped these stamps with versamark and clear embossing powder.
I colored the windows with Brusho soft yellow.
The rest is done with Brusho blue, green and black.
When everything was dry, I removed the ebossing powder with an iron and paper towels.
With stazon timber brown I stamped the winged skeleton on paper and cut it out.
I stamped the goth raven 3 times with stazon midnight blue.
I once cut out the head and once the top half of the raven, and once a whole raven.
Then I colored them with water based markers.
I made a hanging loop from a piece of string,
and put some brown stazon on it to make it look a bit older and dirtier.
Now you can put everything together like on the card,
or at your own taste.
On the heart I glued a big red stone in the shape of a heart.

You can still participate in the Halloween challenge.
And you can participate with all stamp brands.
You have a chance to win rubber stamps.
So, read the rules and join the fun.
The team would really like that.

31 Days of Halloween. Day 23, Halloween necklace.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everybody, here a new post from Riet.
I made a Halloween necklace for Halloween.
Here is what I used and how I made it.
I used:
I would like to point out that,
these stamps are very large which makes them very suitable for shrink foil.
If the stamp is too small, a small image will remain after shrinking.
Which you can barely see.

Shrink plastic, in the Netherlands its cald "krimpie Dinkie".
Black Stazon
Color pencils or markers.
We r memory keepers- Multi hole punch
Metal chain
metal rings
2 small pliers
Sissors
pencil for drawing.
Heattool

I started by printing the stamp with stazon and letting it dry well.
With a pencil I drew a shape around the print and cut it out.
Be very careful to punch the holes first.
You have to cut this as shown in the photo.
This is where the rings will hang later.

Erase all pencil lines after cutting.
Now you can color the image.
Do this with light colors and fairly thin.
The melting will make the color much darker.

After heating it with the heattool it looks like this.
Now we repeat all this again with 4 x a bone of the large skeleton.
And dont forget to punch the wholes.

I colored the bones with a sand color.

Now we attach the rings and the chain to it.
And you are done.
Hope you had fun with this tutorial.

It would be great if you also join our Halloween challenge.
Make a card, tag, mixed media project or whatever you can think of.
If only it has some stamping on it.
You don't even have to use the Lost Coast stamps,
Other brands are also allowed.
So come and take a look at our challenge blog and join us.
You maybe the winner of new rubber stamps.

31 Days of Halloween Lucky #13 - A Touch of Elegance

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

We're up to Lucky #13 in our 31 Days of Halloween and today I have a touch of elegance for you....

Would you believe that this is one stamp?

It is, it's called Winged Skeleton from Carmen's Veranda.

I stamped this image twice onto black cardstock and embossed one image with gold and the other with white embossing powders. The white skeleton was fussy cut out of the frame and the gold image was fussy cut as a whole. I added black and red gemstones to the image which was then mounted on the skeleton pattern paper (which was mounted on a card base). I then added the white winged skeleton to the card using foam tape.

It's such a striking image all gussied up don't you think?

Happy Day friends!
Roni

Flying Gnome

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy here with a flying gnome.
Stamps Used:
Pointy hat gnome
Cherry blossom
Winged skeleton

So I started with the Pointy hat gnome stamp and color with Copic markers. Cut out.
Next stamp  Winged skeleton on a scrap piece of cardstock and color with Copic markers. I chose 3 light colors to color the wings. Cut out.
Tape the wings behind the Pointy hat gnome. I then added foam tape and set aside to make the background.

To make the background I used Distress sprays in purple, pink and blue. I sprayed the paper with water and then I sprayed the Distress sprays. I then took another paper and spritzed it  with water and laid it on top of the first one so I got 2 backgrounds from 1 (well 3 from all the over spray). Dry and then drip water on the background to make the spots.

Stamp Cherry blossom  to the top of the background. Move the stamp around to cover the top of it. Next add the your flying gnome to the front at a angle and then add sparkle to the wings and beard because your gnome is magickal and needs glitter.
So you can join the fun for this challenge here.

Also Lost Coast and Carmen's Veranda is have a sale. Come check it out here.
