Fruit, Flower & Foliage: A Dutch card! ;-)

Hello lovely people, Liesbeth here again. Our current challenge is Fruit, Flower & Foliage and as a Dutchie I would love to show you the Tulip! I love the Carmens Veranda Tulip stamp so much!

First, using a rainbow ink pad,  I stamped the LCD background stamp Flowers on an inked piece of cardstock. With StazOn ink I stamped the Tulip twice (I masked the first) and bleached them. I coloured the tulips with colour pencils and I stamped the sentiment from Party Words.

A very Dutch card I think! Hope you participate this flowery challenge, see you next time!

Animals: Happy Mouse!

Hello everyone! 

For our current challenge Animals I show you one of our new funny animals stamps...the same again as two days ago in Gails blogpost! The TaDa mouse, I think it's gorgeous!💝

In my craft room I found a painted scrap/tag...perfect for this wonderful mouse! So I stamped the mouse and some pieces of the big Flowers Background with waterproof black ink and coloured them with colour pencils. I made shadows with charcoal and highlighted here and there with a white gel pen.

Running Through The Flowers

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here with some Spooktacular Florals inspiration.  I've made a tag with the awesome  Day Of The Dead Man by Lost Coast Designs and one of my most favourite sentiments from Carmen's Veranda.

Tee hee!!  I cut the tag from grey grungy card using a die and stamped with Lost Coast Designs Flowers Background and pink ink.  I stamped Carmen's Veranda Free Bad Advice onto the tag using black archival ink.  I stamped Day Of The Dead Man on some white card, coloured with distress markers, fussy cut him and added it him to the tag.  A little fancy wool and done!

Share your Day of the Dead makes or anything featuring flowers with a spooky or somber twist.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project for a chance to win Lost Coast dollars!

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday.  It's Sue here and I'm continuing with the Spooky Florals challenge by bringing you my Day of the Dead couple.

I started by making my floral background with the Flowers background stamp.

Then I stamped and embossed another piece with Carmen's Veranda Skulls and Bones Background to make my spooky flowers.

Aren't the Day Of The Dead Man and Woman a fun couple. He may be carrying the knife but she looks scarier to me!

 Hello Portal Peeps!!  Gail here today with some more inspiration for the

Funny and/or Cute Challenge. 

I'm going with both options; cute Lost Coast Designs Gnome and funny Carmen's Veranda sentiment.

 

I used Lost Coast Designs Flower Background, stamped with Cactus Flower archival on white card and cut it with fancy frame nesting dies.  I edged all the cut edges with purple ink and mounted on a lilac pearlescent card base.  I stamped Carmen's Veranda Eat a Cookie sentiment and added the stamped, coloured and fussy cut Gardener Gnome

Tropical: Let's Celebrate!

 Hello everyone, Liesbeth here with a blue bird and a tropical flower background. I made this tag to inspire you for participating in our newest challenge, read everything about it  HERE and join us!

For this tag I started by stamping the background stamp Flowers with StazOn ink Cactus green. I coloured it with Ecoline markers. Onto a seperate piece of paper I stamped the bird (Whimsical Flora), same stamp as Laurie used yesterday ;-) ,  and text (Party Words) and cut them out. I also coloured the bird with Ecoline markers and added it with 3d foam tape.

Mona Don't Giveashit

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here today.  The current challenge is Strong Women and that gives us all a chance to wheel out out lovely lady stamps and sassy sentiment.  I've combined Lost Coast Designs Victorian Mona with one of my most favourite Carmen's Veranda sentiments.

You tell em Mona!

I started by stamping Lost Coast Designs Flowers Background on white card with Wilted Violet and a touch of Worn Lipstick distress inks.

I stamped Victorian Mona, coloured with distress inks and fussy cut her.  I stamped the Carmen's Veranda Giveashitometer sentiment on a scrap of white card and squiffy cut the panels, edged em with black ink and added them to the card.

Done!

Looking For Advice

Hello Portal Peeps!  Gail here today with a little fun inspiration for the Round and Round challenge.

I used Carmen's Veranda Large Peekaboo Kitty and Free Bad Advice sentiment  with Lost Coast Designs Flowers Background.  I stamped the kitty and masked it. Then I stamped the flower bckground using dandelion archival and then stamped the sentiment with black archival.  The flower background has quite a few round flowers, but most got covered by the cat and sentiment LOL.  Then I cut the sentiment out with a circle die, edged it with yellow ink and stuck both sections of the card panel on a white card base.

Hello Portal Peeps!  Bonus Gnomey content!

  This week I'm the hostess at the Mod Squad Challenge and the awesome sponsor is Lost Coast Designs!!!  Yeah!!!   We hope you will play along!  I chose the theme New, so new year, new baby, new home, or maybe share some new crafty goodies you got for Christmas.  Just mention what you 'new' thing is if it's not obvious.  There's a chance to win wonderful Lost Coast Designs stamps.  

Here's my inspiration for you.  I am spending New Years Eve with a friend and I wanted to take a little gift, so I decided to make a self-closing box and decorate it with Lost Coast Designs stamps.

I folded the box from red Bazzill and then I stamped the pink panels with a new Lost Coast Designs background stamp called Flowers.  I stamped Front Sign Gnome, coloured and fussy cut him.  I stamped the Let's Party from the Party Words set on his sign, and also made a similar Happy New Year banner for the top of the bag.  Now I just need to fill it with something good!!

Rocking The Retro - Inchie Twinchie Background

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

 Good morning and a very happy Tuesday. It's Sue here with my second piece for our Inchie Twinchie Background challenge, and again I've used some lovely new rubber.

I started by stamping this wonderful new Flowers background a couple of times as closely together as I could.

Then I cut the huge tag and coloured it in. It was a full on tongue out couple of hours colouring. I don't do it often but I really enjoyed it, I think it has a real retro feel to it - groovy!!  Now to turn it into an inchie /twinchie background.

I stamped again and placed the black and white inchies and twinchies over the coloured ones. it was harder than it looks to find the correct spot!

Then I just added my Carmen's Veranda words to finish off.
