#210 Fruit, Flowers and Foliage.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi, Riet here, with a simple scenery.

For the background of this card,
I used various shades of blue, orange, yellow and brown.
I sponged the background with a small sponge.
Then I took the scrubbery stamp and stamped with three shades of brown.
I kept shifting the stamp so that it looks like different types of stamps were used.
I stamped the Carmens Veranda text with gold embossing powder.
Would you to join the challenge?

31 Days of Halloween Day 2 - Halloween Moon

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

BOO! Aimee here with my first card for our 31 Days of Halloween celebration. There's something about the month of October and all the various Halloween festivities that make me feel like a kid again--cooler air, spooky night skies and houses decorated for the holiday. Creating Halloween scenes for a greeting card are among my favorite to make!
This card was made with the Yoga Cat 9, Shrubbery, Brush Strokes and Witches Go Riding stamps. The silver planter is a sticker from a set I purchased at a Dollar Tree store. Follow along to see how I made this card:
Get creative and use any color combination for the night sky--reds and oranges would be especially spooky. I hope you'll join in on the fun and participate in Lost Coast Designs 31 Days of Halloween Challenge. Submit your creation to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for your chance to win a prize!

Isn't she lovely!!  I stamped the Shrubbery with Prickly Pear archival and the Travel Quotes sentiment with black ink.  I stamped the geisha on two pieces of card, one pink and one green, fussy cut the pieces and pieced her back together.
I hope you get time to join the I Am Woman challenge and don't forget to check all the wonderful inspiration from the team here on the blog.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Whack A Kitty

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!  Gail here today with a fun card for the new Fruit, Flowers and Foliage challenge.   I've made a twister card using Lost Coast Designs Fat Cat, Large Shrubbery Background and ATC Doodle Flower stamps.  So much fun!!!!!
I made this card to send as part of the Card Chain Challenge, an international card exchange.  I based the card on all the options so we have the colours and sketch, a cat with a moustache using scraps, a twister card and friendship.  Of course, I used Lost Coast Designs stamps featuring flowers and foliage and cats.
I started with a white 5" x 7" card base, stamped the Large Shrubbery Background with Hero Arts Ocean ink on both sides of the inside of the card and scored the left hand side in the middle.
I stamped Lost Coast Designs Fat Cat using sepia ink on a piece of kraft pizza box and the other one on a piece of kraft ice cream box.  I fussy cut the cats, inked around the edges and onto the back and stuck them together with a bit of string between them.  This isn't a totally symmetrical stamp, but it's pretty close, so a little gently trimming and inking and the cat is ready to twist!
I cut an aperture using a die across the fold in the left hand side of the card and glued the string along the scored line positioning the cat centrally in the aperture.   Fold the half panel back on itself and glue well, especially the string.
I die cut the moustaches and green circles from card scraps.  I stamped the large flower from Lost Coast Designs ATC Doodle Flower three times on some purple scraps, fussy cut the flowers and added all these elements to the card.
Opening the card reveals the Carmen's Veranda sentiment, made up from two different stamps, on the green circle.  And if you have wound up your cat you also get him twirling.
How fun is that!!!

Join the Fruit, Flower and Foliage challenge with your fruity and floral stamped anythings.  I can't wait to see what you make.  Hugz
