Greetings! It's Kathi here with my first card for January's Bright and Cheerful Challenge 193.
I got the flu as a Christmas present, so I started 2025 feeling dizzy and blah. Apparently, I got confused and missed the "cheerful" part of the challenge, but I did nail the bright and dizzy elements.
Alfred Hitchcock was stamped onto Bristol paper with Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink, fussy-cut, colored with Zig Real Brush Markers, and edged with a dark marker. He was set aside while I created a background for him.
White Bristol paper was brushed with Cheerful (Yellow) VersaFine Clair ink. A stipple brush was used to randomly pounce Summertime and Aqua Mist VersaFine Clair Inks over the background, which was thoroughly heat set, then trimmed to 5.5" square.
Purple Delight VersaFine Clair was sponged over the Time Tunnel Stencil onto the speckled yellow background panel, then heat set.
Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink was used to stamp the
Perspective Floor Rubber Stamp onto the leftover piece of yellow speckled cardstock, then heat set.
Black cardstock was cut with a film strip cutting die, birds cutting dies, a film camera cutting die, and a rotary phone cutting die. White cardstock was cut with the rotary phone dial. Silver cardstock was cut with circle dies and the film camera dies. Red cardstock was cut with an "M" cutting die.
The
Perspective Floor element was adhered to the bottom left of the background panel. The film strip die-cut was adhered along the right edge of the background panel, then the die-cuts were assembled in the film strip apertures.
Alfred Hitchcock was adhered to the background as shown. The image panel was trimmed to 5.25" square and edged with Purple Delight VersaFine Clair. An Idea-ology sentiment sticker was adhered to finish the card.
