Fox tag

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy here with a tag for you today.
Stamps Used:

I started out with a white tag and some light pink distress ink to have a base color. I then took a Tim Holtz stencil and a darker pink distress ink to make rays. I took Mona ATC window and the same dark pink ink and stamped in the opening of the stencil.

Next, I stamped Foxy Roxy and then colored him with copic and cut him out. I added him to the bottom of the tag and then I added some glitter hearts to the whole tags.

You still have time to join the challenge.

Pretty Parrot

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!  We are feeling all Bright and Cheerful for January so join us and kick those winter blues.  Gail here today and I've used Lost Coast Designs Polly Parrot on a pretty alcohol ink background.
I made the alcohol ink background and then stamped Polly Parrot directly on the background using archival black ink.  I added some colour to Polly using sharpies and a bit of white gel pen.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs ATC Doodle Heart on red card with sepia archival and fussy cut.  Then I stamped the Carmen's Veranda Weird People sentiment using black archival and cut around the parrots head so I could slip the heart in place.
Thanks for dropping by.   Grab your Bright and Cheerful colours and stamps and join the fun.  The team will be sharing all month, so do pop back often to check out their awesome makes and inspiration.

Chocolate and Money

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!   Gail here today with some Bright and Cheerful inspiration.   Yellow and Orange always make me happy so I did some ink blending and grabbed Lost Coast Designs Fat Cat.

I blended yellow and orange distress inks then stamped with Lost Coast Designs ATC Doodle Flowers stamp using red ink.  The cat was stamped on a piece of card that I had coloured with distress inks and stamped with Lost Coast Designs Pieces of Calligraphy stamps.  To finish I stamped parts of Carmen's Veranda Chocolate and 8 Millions Dollars sentiment.   I left out the hard life bits and stayed with chocolate and money, cos what's happier than chocolate, and if you have money you can buy more chocolate!!

Chills and Thrills for the Bright and Cheerful Challenge!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings! It's Kathi here with my first card for January's Bright and Cheerful Challenge 193.

I got the flu as a Christmas present, so I started 2025 feeling dizzy and blah. Apparently, I got confused and missed the "cheerful" part of the challenge, but I did nail the bright and dizzy elements.

Alfred Hitchcock was stamped onto Bristol paper with Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink, fussy-cut, colored with Zig Real Brush Markers, and edged with a dark marker. He was set aside while I created a background for him.

White Bristol paper was brushed with Cheerful (Yellow) VersaFine Clair ink. A stipple brush was used to randomly pounce Summertime and Aqua Mist VersaFine Clair Inks over the background, which was thoroughly heat set, then trimmed to 5.5" square.

Purple Delight VersaFine Clair was sponged over the Time Tunnel Stencil onto the speckled yellow background panel, then heat set.

Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink was used to stamp the  Perspective Floor Rubber Stamp onto the leftover piece of yellow speckled cardstock, then heat set.

Black cardstock was cut with a film strip cutting die, birds cutting dies, a film camera cutting die, and a rotary phone cutting die. White cardstock was cut with the rotary phone dial. Silver cardstock was cut with circle dies and the film camera dies. Red cardstock was cut with an "M" cutting die.

The Perspective Floor element was adhered to the bottom left of the background panel. The film strip die-cut was adhered along the right edge of the background panel, then the die-cuts were assembled in the film strip apertures.

Alfred Hitchcock was adhered to the background as shown. The image panel was trimmed to 5.25" square and edged with Purple Delight VersaFine Clair. An Idea-ology sentiment sticker was adhered to finish the card.

I hope that you take the opportunity to enter the Bright and Cheerful Challenge for a chance to win Lost Coast Cash!

Thanks for visiting today!

Good morning, Cathy here with a cat bookmark for you today.

Stamp used:

I took a scrap of white cardstock and stamped happy cat on the bottom of the piece of paper. Next, I took my 3 favorites of distress ink and smooshed one at a time on a piece of plastic and sprayed it with water and then smooshed it on the paper. I dried in between colors and then layered it on black cardstock.

Come join the month-long challenge on the Lost Coast blog.

You Matter

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Happy New Year! Aimee here with my first creation of 2025. I love that we're starting out with the Bright & Cheerful Challenge--let's kick this new year off with happy and positive vibes!
My husband majored in Physics, so the science humor of Carmen's Veranda You Matter stamp gave me a good laugh. There's a TON of images of women, children and men in the Lost Coast Design's Stamp Catalogue to choose to pair with this sentiment. Here I'm using the STP Hairbow stamp. Follow along with these photos to see how I made this card.
There's still PLENTY of time to upload a Bright & Cheerful creation to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity. Submit by the end of the January for a chance to win a prize!

Happy Dog

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!  Gail here today with my first project of 2025.  We are feeling all Bright and Cheerful this month, so as long as it has stamping, is bright and makes you happy you can link it up!!   I decided to do some scrappy stamping and fussy cut this happy Pokey Dog to get my brights.
My pink panel is a piece of 49th and Market patterned card.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs Round Shadow Frame with red archival ink.  This is a flat stamp and it's picked up the texture on the card stock, which is quite a pretty effect.  Like that.  I stamped Pokey Dog in place with black ink, to save cutting out all those tricky bits, then stamped him again on a fun colour scrap, fussy cut and placed him on the card.  I stamped Carmen's Veranda Happy Birthday and I was told there would be cake sentiments, cos what's a birthday without cake!!!
Thanks for dropping by.   I hope the new year has brought you new inspiration and creativity.  The team will be sharing all month, so do pop back often to check out their awesome makes and join the fun.
