#209 No body here challenge. Vintage tag.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi, Riet here with a vintage tag for the "No body" challenge.
These are the stamps I used.

And I used:
Distress oxide
 Victorian velvet
Bundled sage
Distressink
Antique linen
Walnut stain
Victorian velvet
Glimmermist pink.
distress glaze
foamtape
Die crealies xxl tag nr.6

First, we make prints using a Pieces of Architecture stamp
by applying the Distress Glaze to the stamp with a sponge.

Then we apply the Victorian velvet ink and spray glimmer mist over it.

Apply antique linen to the edges with a finger sponge.

And repeat with walnut stain.

With Distress oxide bundled sage you stamp the script.

With the Distress Oxide Bundled Sage and Victorian Velvet,
you stamp a number of perfume bottles.
Wait until the ink is completely dry.
Color the bottles with antique linen.
Use a finger sponge to color the edges with walnut stain.

For the background tag that we use as a mat, sponge with the Bundled Sage.
Stamp the long swirl with Victorian Velvet and sponge the edges with Walnut Stain.

Assemble the tag, giving the perfume bottles different heights.
Stamp the word "Beauty" from the misc words sheet
and stick it on raised with foam tape.
Thread a nice ribbon through the hole and you're done.
I hope you enjoyed it.
You still have until the end of the month to enter the challen

So maybe I'll see you at the challenge.

Hi, its Riet here.

LCD has such cute mini gnome sets.
These are very suitable for ATC cards.

For these ATC cards, I used:
Derwent inktense pencils.
Black water resistent ink, I used Versafine onyx black.
White gellpen.
Posca pen pink, lilac and white for the blossem.
Silver marker for the metal accents on the jukebox.
Masking tape.

How to make the ATC cards.
1. Stamp the flower gnome and mask it.
2. Stamp the middle tulip and mask it.
3. Stamp the other tulips.
Color with Derwent Inktense.
The background is also colored with the inktense pencils.
Stamp "For you" with black ink.
Give it some accents with the white gellpen.

The jukebox ATC is done in the same way.
Only the metall accent ar done with the silver marker.

For the sleeping gnome its the same.
Make blossem with the Posca markers.

#203 Festive fun challenge.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

   Hello everyone, Riet here.
I'm so crazy about those cute Pokey animals from Lost Coast Designs.
They're so funny and cute.
Take the Pokey Mouse, for example,
just look at that silly expression on his face, hahahaha so funny.
I also love how easy it is to change the stamp.
Here, for example, as Santa.
By drawing a line and buttons with a waterproof fineliner,
you can easily give him a jacket.
Santa's toy bag is from a gnome stamp, Gnome Santa with Toys.
This one is from the Mini Gnomes 2 sheet.
The holly leaves and berries are from a stencil,
CraftEmotions Mask Stencil X-mas Florals.
The background is made with Distress Oxide Broken China, Mowed Lawn,
and Rustic Wilderness for the holly.
I sprinkled the text and the berries with glitter.
I colored the mouse with Derwent Inktense.
Made the fur on the santa coat with Posca pen white.
This turned it into a lovely Christmas card.
The LCD/CV team would love it if you participated in the challenge.
You could also win new rubber stamps of your choice.
Please read the rules first to avoid disappointment.

We Are Published in Rubberstamp Madness Fall 2025

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

 Dear blog readers,
We at Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda Stamps are proud to be featured
on pages 30 and 31 of the fall 2025 issue of Rubberstamp Madness, titled "Being in a Design Team."

There are seven talented DT members in total: Gail, our team leader,
Liesbeth, Cathy, Darlene, Aimee, Kathi, and myself, Riet.
I was therefore surprised and pleased that some of my work was published with the article.
I had made an accordion booklet.
These are the stamps I used:
The booklet is made with Brusho and black acrylic paint.
I hope you enjoyed it.

Santa Boris

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!   Gail here today with bad boy Boris for the Christmas in July challenge
I stamped Carmen's Veranda Boris Karloff on white card and cut with a circle die.  I coloured boris with red sharpies and water coloured with distress inks.  I stamped the star from Carmen's Veranda Elf with Star using salty ocean distress oxide on the still wet salty ocean water coloured background to give that nice smudged effect.  I cut a slightly larger circle with a stitched circle die from blue card and used the star with the distress oxide to stamp all around the edge for a bit of texture.  I cut a base card with the same stitched circle die so Boris can rock!!

Thanks for dropping by.
Join the Christmas In July fun and link up your stamped anythings featuring Christmas!!
See you there..........

#197 Are you kidding me. Made a tag with the lovely Bubbles girl stamp.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi there, Riet here with a new tutorial.
Make your own perfect resist.

Today a vintage tag for the challenge at
 Lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.
I chose to work with pastel shades.
I think that suits this sweet vintage girl.

I used LCD stamps,

Distressink,
Speckled egg
Victorian velvet
Shaded lilac
Old paper
Vintage photo
Archival coffie
Or any other dark brown ink will do.

Perfect resist (home made)
2 parts white glue 1 part water.

Start by spraying the perfect resist on a clear sheet.

Use a sponge to apply it to the stamp.
Stamp on your tag and let it dry.

You apply the ink with an ink blending brush.

You will then see the stamp prints appear.
Just like magic.

Love the result.

Use a spray to make some fine water drops on the ink.

Stamp the Daisy florish Diagonally across the corners.
Do so with the wordt "Fly".

Use a sponge to darken the edges with Distressink Vintage photo.

Stamp the butterfly and girl, color them with the distress ink.
Cut them out and stick them on with foam tape.

but can also be about funny things.
It's up to you how you interpret it.
The team would love to see your crafty things in the challenge.
Anything goes as long as it's stamped on.
You don't even have to use LCD/CV stamps.
Read all about it in the rules.
Have fun creating and I hope to see your art.
