CHALLENGE #196

WHERE'S MY HAT

This month we are all about headgear.  You have all month to share your stamped anythings with hats or other headgear.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.  A small stamped sentiment in a sea of die cuts or digi images will not qualify to win the prize and you may be deleted!!!!  Bwahahhaaahaha.

PLEASE read the updated Challenge Rules to ensure your entries qualify to win this month's prize!

You are welcome to play in our Challenges using rubber stamp images from any company but if you use any of our Lost Coast Designs or Carmen's Veranda stamps...we love it when you do...then you could win a bigger prize in our random prize drawing.  All winners get our snazzy Challenge Winner's Badge to proudly display on their blogs!

If you don't have a blog then no prob, you can still play in our challenges by sharing your projects from public photo sharing sites which includes our Facebook Company Pages for Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda.  Please include our Challenge info and the link back to our challenge in your photo's description!  As long as the privacy setting for your photo is public you're good to go.  See, it's so easy to join the fun!  FYI, you can't link up projects shared in closed Facebook groups!

Here's some inspiration from the team to get us started.  ENJOY!

Aimee used Lost Coast Designs Polly Parrot and Megan's Christmas Bird with Carmen's Veranda Born to Stand Out sentiment.

Kathi used Lost Coast Designs Cat and Bird

Riet used Lost Coast Designs Manga Goth with Tophat, Butterfly set and Brush Strokes
with Carmen's Veranda Art Wings to Fly sentiment.

Rock or Pop: Gnome in the meadow.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everyone! Today I show you my Pop-up card for the current challenge Rock or Pop! There's still some time for you to participate!

As I said, I made a pop-up card this time, so much fum to make this! First I fold a white A5 card in half and drew the lines for the 4 popping strips and cut them. I sponged the card with Distress ink in greens and blues, splashed some water and dried the card. With green ink, I stamped the big Shrubbery stamp, and Happy Birthday (Party Words) with black ink.

I stamped the gnome (Three gnomes) , cows (Cow), butterflies (More Bugz) and bird (Cat and Bird) onto a seperate piece of paper, cut them out and coloured them with colour pencils. I glued them onto the strips of the card and also on the card itself.

Hope you give it a try, see you next time!

Critters: Cat & bird

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everyone, Liesbeth Here again with our Critters challenge! Today I show you a very easy card. The beautiful stamp Cat and bird doesn`t need any extras to shine! I stamped it , using black StazOn ink, onto a gelli print background. You can also use a piece of design paper or inked paper, what ever. I also stamped it on a piece of white cardstock and cut out the cat. I glued the white cat onto the gelli print card. I coloured the eyes with a green pencil and added some red onto the bird, and some glitter on its crown. I finished with the sentiment (Party words)

See you next time Join the fun!

Forever Friends

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps.  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying the period between the eves.  Reflecting on the last year?  Looking forward to the year ahead?  Or maybe just playing with some new crafty products??  I have made a friendship card inspired by our current In The Deep Midwinter challenge.  Any stamped winter inspired make is welcome.  Join the fun and maybe you will win yourself a very happy start to the New Year.

Here's my card using Lost Coast Designs very lovely
Cat and Bird and Small Snowflakes stamps.

I started by stamping Cat and Bird with black archival ink then masked the image.  I stamped the Small Snowflakes with Bluebird archival.  You get 8 different stamps in this set and I used them all!  Then I bumped them and stamped again with Watering Can archival.  I thought it looked a bit too structured so I used 2nd and 3rd generation stamping with the grey ink to make a proper blizzard.
I gave the background a water colour wash with Stormy Sky distress ink and coloured the cat with Spiced Marmalade.  I used gel pens for her eyes and also added some glitter for a bit of a wow factor.  The bird was coloured with red Promarker and I glittered his crown.
I stamped some words from Lost Coast Designs Misc. Words on grey woodgrain card, fussy cut and edged them with black ink.

Thanks for looking.  Hugz
