7th day Of 31 days of Halloween. A Halloween spool.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi everyone, do you also like a challenge, I do.
Especially with a Halloween theme.
Join the Lost Coast Designs and carmens Veranda Halloween challenge and you might win a prize.
Now my DT contribution.
I chose to make a Halloween spool.
I used these stamps from Lost Coast designs.

I also used a number of dies such as the fence and the bats.
And with a circle die with a scalloped edge I made the circles with green paper.
I stamped the circels with black ink and the Long swirl stamp.
I colored the Goth shrine with Tombow markers.
Then stamped the spiderwebs background with black ink on orange paper.
On a transparent sheet I stamped the dancing skeletons with stazon jet black.
Then I colored the skeletons with a white posca marker.
I colored the fence and the bats with tombow markers.
I decorated the rest with some moss, spider web, pumpkins, spiders and a skull.

I had a lot of fun making this Halloween spool.
Now the LCD team would love to see your work in the challenge.
So maybe until next time.

#136 Man cave challenge, the boxer.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello stamp friends.
Today an artjournal page.
I chose the boxer stamp, because it fits so well into the "man cave" theme.

I worked on Terschelling 300 gram watercolor paper 24x30cm.
This paper has a rough structure and absorbs a lot of water.
And that is necessary because we are going to work with Brusho.

What materials I used:
stamps:

Further materials
Stencil: numbers - arrow - chevron.
Brusho - Orange - Leaf green - Yellow Ocre - Turquoise.
Stazon Timber brown.
Posca pen white.
Black pencil.
Skin colored marker.
White acrylic paint.
Thin paper to stamp the boxer on.

We are going to start with the design of the stamps for the background.
Let the stazon ink dry well.

Spray plenty of water on the paper.

Sprinkle small amounts of brusho on the water as you see fit.
Do this very carefully, because brusho is a true color explosion.
Think of it like this, better to sprinkle two or three times than too much at once.
See for yourself whether water needs to be added or whether it should be dabbed off.

With a stencil and white acrylic paint you sponge the numbers, arrow and chevron.

With a spatula you make 2 x wipes with white acrylic paint.
When its dry you can stamp the badass stamp on the paint.

Now only finishing, with the posca pen some lines around the stamps,
and give the checkerd border  white blocks.
Use the black pencil to outline the arrow, chevron and numbers.
And give the boxer some shade with the black pencil.
And then you're done, I hope you enjoyed this step by step.

You might like to join the challenge.
You don't necessarily have to use LCD stamps, but you do have to stamp with real stamps.
Read through the rules and then join in the fun.
You have a chance to win new stamps.

31 day's of Halloween, day 25 - 4 Ravens

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting.....
Edgar Allan Poe.
Hallo everyone, Riet here.
I thought this quote was a good fit for this card.
I love this stamp, so mysterious.
This is how I made this card.

Stamps I used.

Stazon Jet black
Markers,
orange,
yellow,
dark blue,
grey,
black.
purple.
White gelpen.
Masking tape.

I stamped the 4 raven stamp In the middle of the cardstock.
mask it and stamped over it with the 4th dimention stamp.
When the stazon is dry you can start coloring with the markers.
I used watercolor based markers.
If you want to color with alcohol based markers, then dont use stazon.
Then use Memento.
Now the checker board frame.
Stamp it 4 times with black on white paper.
Cut to fit around the card, diagonally in the corners.
If it doesn´t fit perfectly, don´t worry.
There will be a victoriana element over it.
So you wont see any of that later.
Stamp 4 of the smallest victoriana elements,
color and cut them out.
Now glue everything together.

Now, this was fun, and its even more fun to join our challenge.
You don´t have to use LCD stamps, but we do prefer them.
If you join you have a chance to win some rubber stamps of your choice.
But dont forget to read the rules first.

Celebrate it! Day 4

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everyone! We are celebrating our 100th challenge! Hope you'll join the party and celebrate (and stamp!) with us! Here's the information you need to participate: Celebrate it! Blogpost.
Liesbeth here with some inspiration for you: an easy one this time.. no bleaching, no masking. Just stamping using 3 tones of blue ink: light, medium and dark! I used Adirondack ink: Cloudy blue, Sailboat blue and Eggplant. Distress ink will also work perfectly.
I stamped the background with some text stamps using the lightest ink. After that I stamped the other images, and on a seperate piece of paper I stamped the sentiment and the hat, cut them out and sponged the edges. On the card, I flew out some of the ink a little bit with a water brush, just water. I finished by adding the  text (sticked on a blue mat) and the hat.
Stamps used: ATC misc. 6, ATC misc. 7, ATC Doodle set, Rustic checkerboard border, Party words, Party hats 1, Einstein, Butterfly.

Let Your Weird Light Shine

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Good morning and happy Tuesdsay, it's Sue here with my first piece for the Boys Boys Boys challenge, and I'm combining some fun new stamps with some old favourites.

I started by painting a page of my chippie album in greens and blues for grass and sky

Then I added some 'wierd light' as I'd decided upon my quote. I also added my 'go to' border, Rustic Checkerboard .

Next I stamped, watercoloured, and cut out my images. I've used American Gothic Party, American Gothic Steampunk, (this is a new image and I love it!) and Cityscape.

Then they'be been stuck down and this fab Carmens Veranda quote added, it's called Weird Bright Light and I think it sums my piece up perfectly!

I hope that you like it, and that you let the boys out of the toybox and join in with our fun challenge. Have a lovely day, and thanks very much for looking xx
