31 Days of Halloween Day 11 - Square Bats That Look Round

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here with day 11 of our 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  This month the team are posting awesome Halloween related makes every day and we want to invite you to join us.
I made a forest scene using Lost Coast Designs Dracula, Tall Trees Background and Bat Boy

I made the background using the second alcohol ink background I made the other day.  I had already made one and was just stamping off the inks still on the felt pad, so this one is more subtle.  I used Midnight archival ink and stamped the Tall Trees and used Sunflower archival in a circle of felt for the moon.

I stamped Dracula and Bat Boy on white card and coloured with distress markers.  I fussy cut dracula and the heads of the bat boys and added them to the card.
Link up your Halloween inspired projects.  Anything related to the season, spooky, fruity, fun, scary or cute.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.  A small stamped sentiment in a sea of die cuts or digi images will not qualify to win the prize and you may be deleted or fed to the giant pumpkin!!!!  Bwahahhaaahaha.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Onward and Upward and 2 Ways to Win

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here today.

The end of 2020 is looming.  Let's hope all the crap gets left behind.  I have made a New Year card in shades of blue using Lost Coast Designs stamps.  I think this gnome is my favourite of the bunch!  If you haven't checked out the Lost Coast Designs Gnomes then hop over, cos they are so cute and awesome, and Linda is still offering 25% off your order!!!  What a way to start the new year with some of these dudes dropping into your mail box.

I used Lost Coast Designs Tall Trees Background, Profile Gnome, the sun from Sun and Moon and Misc. Words for the sentiment.   I stamped the Tall Trees background and sentiment using blue dye ink and the sun using black archival onto my card base.  I stamped the gnome on scrap of white card, fussy cut and coloured with Promarkers.  I stamped the sun on a scrap of yellow card, fussy cut and added it to the card.  Some iridescent glitter glue in the tree tops and done!!

Would you like a chance to win a $10 of Lost Coast Designs stamps???

The Winter Blues challenge is running until 31st December 23.59PST.
If the New Year party looses it's fizz then grab your stamps and join the fun.

31 Days of Halloween Day 24 - Ghost Dog

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!  Gail here today with a bootatstic offering.
Have you been checking out all the spooktacular makes from the team this month?
Don't forget we have our 31 Days of Halloween linky running all month for you to link up your stamped Halloweeny makes and we also have our Furry Friends Challenge (15th to 31st October) where you can link up your stamped anythings featuring something furry.  It doesn't have to be a spooky or scary furry.  Any furry friend is good.
Here's Milo and Raphael, friends forever and beyond......
This is actually version two.  The first card I cut round Milo and Raphael's feet and the dog looked like he had no rear end, just hanging in mid air.  So I decided to leave them with the ground Linda gave them.

I started by stamping Lost Coast Designs Tall Trees Background with grey ink on the edge of the card.  I used third generation stamping for this.  This means I inked my stamp then stamped it twice on scrap paper before stamping it on the card, to give the trees that ghostly feel. Then I stamped Carmen's Veranda Ghost Friends sentiment with black ink.

I stamped Milo and Raphael with black archival on white card and fussy cut them.  I coloured with distress markers for that faded look and then went all Halloween hog on the dogs eyes, colouring them red gel pen with a dot of white.  Reminds me of those films you watch and 3/4's of the way through you realise some or all of the main characters are ghosts!!  Always messes up my ability to work out whodunit!!!

Thanks for visiting.  Don't forget to grab your stamps and join our fun challenges.
There be prizes!!!

CHALLENGE #109 - FURRY FRIENDS and 31 Days of Halloween Day 15 - A Bat-tallion of Bats

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here today.  The 31 Days of Halloween continue but, as is our tradition, we like to also offer a midmonth challenge with an alternative theme for our not so spooky friends.  We will also be sponsoring the Cat Lovers Hop later this month, so with that in mind our new challenge is......

CHALLENGE #109

FURRY FRIENDS

Shared your stamped makes featuring something furry.  It doesn't need to be Halloween or spooky if you don't want, as long as there is a furry something and stamping.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.  A small stamped sentiment in a sea of die cuts or digi images will not qualify to win the prize and you may be deleted!!!!  Bwahahhaaahaha.

Please remember we do have some Challenge Rules to follow so look them over to ensure your entries qualify to win this month's prize!

Here's my inspiration for the start of the new challenge.   I'm keeping it spooky with a midnight trip to the forest.  The moon is full, the bats are flying and Werewoves are aboard.  Well, one Werewolf.....

I stamped Lost Coast Designs Tall Trees Background on Bazzill Avalanche card and heat embossed with black powder.  I blended various distress inks to create the full moon look.  The Bazzill has a bit of texture and I thought it gave quite a cool effect to the embossed trees and also the ink blending.
I stamped, coloured and fussy cut Lost Coast Designs Werewolf

I added Werewolf to the card and also some tiny bat shaped sequins that have just flown in from England from my crafty friend Jo.  Thanks Jo.  Did I mention they are tiny??  A few escaped while I was trying to glue em down.....  Bat hunting later.....

Now it's your turn.  Are you up for the challenge?  We can't wait to see your projects!
Submit your entries in the linky party below by 5 to midnight PST on the 31st and don't forget to follow us so you don't miss anything!  The team will be posting more inspiration throughout the month so check back and join the fun and remember the 31 Days of Halloween challenge is also running until the end of the month!

Today's spooktacular featured project is by me, LCDesigner Leigh S-B ;0)
I'm back today with another altered wooden BOO! creation but this time I'm featuring the Master of Horror, Alfred Hitchcock himself, and paying homage to his clawesome movie classic The Birds!

I typed up sections of attack scenes from The Bird's screenplay in Photoshop CS6 for the background of this altered project.  This movie was filmed in black and white so I only used black ink for all my stamping and distressing.
The wooden pieces were painted with black acrylic, the images stamped with black Versafine ink and Black Soot Distress Ink was used to grunge up the edges.
I used the following stamps:
Lost Coast Designs
Filmstrip Border
Tall Trees
Perspective Floor

Carmen's Veranda
Alfred Hitchcock
Flying Birds
ATC Birds in Trees
