Oh Valentine

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here today on the most loverly day of the year.  Appropriately we are hoping you will join us and share your Fruit, Flower and Foliage anythings.  Unfortunately showing us your lovely roses won't cut it, but if you stamped a card to your loved one using flowers, or sending them a special pineapple greeting then please share.  I incorporated a few hearts and flowers for this fun birthday card.
I started by stamping Lost Coast Designs Heart and Curls Border down each side of my card panel with mulberry ink, masked and stamped Lost Coast Designs ATC Doodle Flower multiple times with sunflower ink.  I stamped, coloured and fussy cut Lost Coast Designs Day of the Dead Woman and added her to the bottom of the stamped panel.  Finally I added the Carmen's Veranda Hot and Sexy sentiment which I stamped on a scrap of white card.

It's Fruit, Flower and Foliage all this month here at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity so don't forget to check out all the gorgeous makes from the team and link up your own for a chance to win.
Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

#181 Anything goes challenge.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello stampers and crafters, Riet here.
The "Anything goes" challenge is still running until the end of the month.
Join us so you can win prizes.

Now about the card.
I used these stamps:

Distress oxide:car
Barn door
Musterd seed
Spiced marmelade
Chipped sapphire,
Peacock feathers.
Any water resistend black inkpad.
White pasca or gellpen.
Color pencils, I used derwent colorsoft.

How the card is made:
I started by sponging the colors Barn door,
Musterd seed and
Spiced marmelade onto the card.

I made a stamp impression with the crackle background stamp that I sprayed some water on.

This is a simple technique but with a very nice result.

We now continue with the stamp of the Carmen dog.
We first make a mask from that.

Take a piece of white paper that is slightly larger than the dog.
Stamp the dog with waterproof ink.
Stick the mask on and then sponge the paper with Peacock feathers.
Let it dry.

Leave the mask on.
Stamp with chipped sapphire and the heart and curls border,
left and right along the dog.
Let everything dry thoroughly before removing the mask.

Color with pencils or markers the dog.

Make white dots in the curls with the posca or white gellpen.

Stamp the saying with peacock feathers.
Put white dots with the posca or gellpen.

Matt the card with turquoise and purple.
And glue the carmen dog on the top.

Well this was fun to do and a very cheerful card.
There is still more than a week to participate in the "Anything goes" challenge,
If you participate you have a chance to win stamps.
You can even participate with stamps from other companies.
Please read the rules first, as they have recently changed.
Have a great day.

Arresting

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here today with some more inspiration for the Love and Hearts challenge.   I saw Boris and this sentiment and they just seemed made for each other.
I stamped Carmen's Veranda Boris Karloff on grungy grey card and Carmen's Veranda You're Staggering on a panel of the same card.  Then I stamped Lost Coast Designs Hearts and Curls Border twice with pale blue archival ink on white card, added my fussy cut Boris and mounted on the sentiment panel.
Boris, you are such a bad boy!!!!

Join the Love and Hearts challenge with your stamped anything featuring love and/or hearts for a chance to win Lost Coast dollars.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

I added a strip of silver glitter paper, sliding it behind the two cut hearts.  Then I stamped, coloured and fussy cut Carmen's Veranda Reindeer Doll.   Love this quirky deer.

Challenge 132, Art dolls and Diva's

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi, its me, Riet.
Today an art doll as a card.
Years ago I participated in a swap, theme was puzzle with your stamps.
I believe the original idea came from Hermine Koster.
So much fun to do, if you like a real challenge.
You can join our challenge and maybe you will be the winner of new rubber stamps.

I did the coloring with distressinks.

These are the stamps I used.
Click on the stamp, if you like to go to the webshop.
I put these three parts together to make the art doll.
I used the Ledger stamp for the background and 2 pieces for the border.

Click on the banner to go to the challenge.
I hope I see you there.
