Then I stamped the wonderful Skulls And Bones Background and embossed it in black. This is such a fun stamp!

He's such a cutie isn't he, this is Evil Eye!

Here are the stamps that I've used

Evil Eye and Carmen's Veranda

#126 Challenge at Lost Coast Designs. Critters

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello, Riet here.
Today my contribution to the Lost Coast Designs challenge.
Subject is Critters.
Well, when we think of critters we usually think of very sweet and nice creatures.
But of course there are other critters as well.
Just look at this card and you'll see what I mean.
This card was made with the LCD evil eye stamp.
The "devil in disguise" words are from the stamp of the same name.

The evil eye stamp is designed by Teri Sherman
and LCD has a lot of stamps by Teri's design.
Take some time and look at them on this page.
These stamps are so gorgeus, I just love them.

I used for this card.....
Distress Oxide Black Soot, Rustic Wilderness andTwisted Citron.
the cobweb background is stamped with Distress Micro Glaze.
The speckles that you see in the background and the card are applied with a plastic sponge.
I colored the critter with Derwent coloursoft.
I really enjoyed making this card for this challenge.
The lost Coast Designs team is very curious about
your interpretation.
So come on and join in, you don't even have to use LCD stamps, you can join whatever stamp brand you want.
And did you know that you can win rubber?
That's always nice of course.
Well good luck with the challenge.

31 Day's of Halloween, day 21. Evil eye.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi there, Riet here,
How are you all doing.
Are you all alive?
Not even a vampire bite?
Well watch out than,
Because here comes a card with a little monster.
Dont let it bite you.
Hahahaha.

I used for this card:
Stamps,
Evil eye,  http://www.lost-coast-designs.com/teri.html
Spiderwebs, http://www.lost-coast-designs.com/backgrounds.html
Door and window set, http://www.lost-coast-designs.com/sets_notpeople.html

Distress oxide:
Black soot.
Wilted violet.
Spiced marmalade.
Fossilized amber.
Musterd seed.
Distress micro glaze
White gellpen.
Color pencils
Red marker
Stazon black

For the spiderweb background I dabbed the paper in distress oxide,
musterd seed, fossilized amber and spiced marmelade.
Let it dry and then stamp with black stazon the spiderwebs.
I have turned the stamp repeatedly and stamped a lot of times over each other.

Now, for the peace with the evil eye stamp.
I positioned the evil eye so that the tree extends over the edges of the paper.
Masked him with masking tape.
On the window stamp you put some Distress micro glaze.
Stamp it behind the evil eye.
With distress oxide, Wilted violet, Spiced marmalade,
Fossilized amber and Musterd seed.
Make some puddles with the ink and water and pull the paper through.
You will see a faint print of the window, looks like a watermark.
Remove the mask and color the evil eye stamp. Mat both cards and glue them together.

Now I am very curious about what you will make for the challenge.
So come on over and join our challenge.
Then you can win some rubber stamps.

31 Days of Halloween Day 5 - Sign of the Times

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Bwahahhaaaaaaa Portal Peeps.  The spooktivities continue!
Gail here with Day 5 of our Halloween extravaganza.
I made a new sign for my Halloween festivities.

I used a piece of grey card and stamped Lost Coast Designs Evil Eye and Carmen's Veranda Oz Witch.

I coloured them with Promarkers and gel pens, masked them and stamped
Carmen's Veranda Flying Monkey Background twice.

I stamped letters from Lost Coast Designs Licence Plate Alphabet on various scraps of coloured card using various inks, fussy cut and added them to the sign.  The 'E's' were over the top of the witch so I cut around her hat and hand with a knife and slipped them behind.  A bit of recycled sari silk for the hanger and done.

Link up your stamped Halloween makes for a chance to win and don't forget to visit everyday and check out the awesome Halloween inspiration from the team.

Gleeful

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here today with a fun birthday wish from me and a friend!!
Evil Eye hasn't been out of the cupboard for a while, so he's feeling a little cranky!

I stamped Lost Coast Designs Crackle Background with Salty Ocean distress oxide on a piece of cereal box and spritzed with water.
I stamped Lost Coast Designs Evil Eye on another piece of the box, coloured with Promarkers and gel pens and fussy cut him.
I mounted everything on a blue base card and added the Happy Birthday on a stitched cut panel.  I stamped it with the Salty Ocean oxide, but it didn't stand out enough so I embossed with Baby Blue powder.  I also added a little green gel pen to his eyes cos I thought it looked better that white.
Our current challenge is Anything Goes and runs til the end of the month.
Link up your stamped anythings for a chance to win.

Thanks for visiting.  Hugz

31 Days of Halloween Day 20: Scary night

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi, Liesbeth here again on the 20th Halloween day here! Today I show you a big A5 card with lots of thing to scare you ;-)

This is how I did it: I made an alcohol ink background with purple, yellow and orange ink on a glossy piece of cardstock. Ater that I built up the layers of images using stamps and black StazOn ink. I masked some of the images: the beast, skull, bird before I stamped the other images. I finished the piece with a white gelpen (lots of details) and a little bit of colouring with Distress markers.
Stamps I used: Goth raven, Evil Eye, Skeleton and roses, Skull flourish, Flagstone background, Ironwork wall, Door and window set. (klick=see)

We would love to invite you to join our 31 Days of Halloween challenge and to participate! See you soon!

31 Days of Halloween Day 4 : Evil Eye

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everyone, Liesbeth here! The best time of the year has started, autumn... and 31 days of Halloween here on our Blog! I love everything Halloween, and I love stamping in Halloween/Day of the dead theme! I think LCD/CV stamps are the very best for this.
I made this card a while ago, but I think it's perfect as my first Halloween entry this month.

I made a background using Distress inks, paint and a spiderweb stencil. I stamped the Evil Eye stamp and masked it. After that I stamped the text, houses and flourish. I removed the masking paper and bleached the buildings and the creepy animal. Here and there I used some coulor pencils to finish the piece.
Stamps used: Evil Eye, Cityscape,  ATC texts set 1 and Daisy Flourish (click=see)
Happy Halloween! Enjoy our 31 days :-)

Tree Hugging

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi everyone,
it's Dot here with a tutorial for our Wood Challenge #82

I have been eye-ing off the bark out the front of my place
for some time to make something with, so I was
pretty pleased when this challenge came around.

The tree out the front is called a Paperbark tree.
The bark starts peeling away from the trunk
and has the most amazing colours.

I peeled a heap of the layers from the tree and brought them inside to dry.

You can peel the bark super thin, which is what I did, and you can layer them up
any way that you like.

I chose some that had different colours and textures and glued them together
with gel medium.

The stamp 'Evil Eye' was stamped onto some tissue paper.
Then on the back of this I painted some
white acrylic paint ... carefully.

Once it was dry it was easy to attach to the bark
with gel medium.

I added some branch effects by using a small section of the
Grunge Tree stamp with brown archival ink.

The bark was easy to rip to the size that I needed for my card.
Then it was a simple task of attaching it with gel medium.

The words, from Carmen's Veranda, were stamped
with white ink onto black card and cut out.
After edging with more white ink I attached it to the bark.

The card still needed something else ...
so I painted the eyes of the Evil Eye's eyes with blue acrylic paint.

There is still a little bit of time to enter our Wood challenge
for this fortnight.
Either here or over on facebook.

Happy Stamping!

Wood Challenge: The Evil Eye

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi from Laurie here with a project for the current challenge: Wood.  Lots you can do with this theme, but it might make you think!
I made a card here using the Grunge Tree background stamp and the Evil Eye stamp, both from Lost Coast Designs.

I began by creating a background, using a circle stencil and green and blue Distress inks.  I cut around the edges with some deckle-edged scissors and mounted my piece to a black background.

Next I stamped my image onto white card stock and began coloring it with Copic markers in shades of gray and brown, using yellow for the claws and eyes.  I added some Crackle Accents to the eyes and teeth to give them some shine and make the stand out.  I fussy cut my image and affixed it to the front of my card.
https://lostcoastportaltocreativity.blogspot.com/2019/08/challenge-82-wood.html
So put on your thinking caps and see what creations you can make with the Wood theme.  We can't wait to see what you make, and you just might win some free stamps!!
