Hello

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy here with a fun card for you today.
Stamps Used:

My card is a great way to use up your scraps and clean ups from other cards you were making.
I started with a sheet of clean up cardstock from something I was doing before. I cut it down to be a top folding card. Next, I stamped doodle circle background on it.
I then used some left-over circles die cut from who knows what?  and stamped 2 of the misc. anthropomorphs inside the circles. Edged them with some black ink.

I then added a black strip of leftover cardstock down the front of the card and added the 2 stamped circles on top of it.
Lastly, I added a hello die cut.
Today is the last day to join the challenge here.

you can also participate in the challenge with other brands of stamps?
So it's easy, participate and maybe you will be the winner of new stamps.
Now to the explanation of this card/AJ page.

What I used:

Evergreen bough.
Peacock feathers.
Saltwater taffy.
Distress oxide:
Peacock feathers.
Saltwater taffy.
Versafine onyx black.
Black paint for splassing drops.

Watercolor paper.

I started with Peacock feathers and the largest circle from the shadow frames set.

I repeated that with Evergreen bough and overlapped the stamp a bit.

Take a little water and a brush to spread the ink a bit.
Wait till its dry.

With the bubble plastic stamp from the Brush strokes,
I stamped with Distress ink Evergreen bough and
Peacock feathers.
I did this in contrast next to the circles.
Stamped the 3 cirkels flom the Brush strokes set with Distress Oxide Saltwater taffy.

And did the stencil with the Distress Oxide Saltwater taffy.

I stamped the CV text and letters of the Pieces of calligraphy sheet
with versafine onyx black.
Stamp the butterfly in the center.
Take some black paint for the splashes.

Stamp the butterfly on a piece of paper and color with de distress ink.
Cut the butterfly out and glue on the card.

Color some Peacock feathers in the cirkels.
And with a black fineliner scribble some lines round the cirkels.

Round & Round - By the Sea Artist Trading Coins

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Friends - today I wanted to share my Artist Trading Coins for the current challenge - Round & Round.

I wanted to do something a bit summery as it has been so cold here and I thought these might fit the bill.  I used Mini Fish, Mini Maritime and the Steampunk Mermaid.  All of these images were stamped on a shimmery white cardstock (which I sadly couldn't capture in the photos).  They were each colored with a variety of colored pencils and edged with VersaFine ink.

There is still time to join in on the fun...
share your creation with us and you might just be a lucky winner!

Round and Round Challenge: Circus Dogs

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Welcome back from Laurie as we continue on with our "Round and Round" Challenge, featuring all things circular.  We hope you are playing along with us on this fun challenge.

For this I have a card that uses the Circus Dogs Set of stamps and the Doodle Circles background stamp from Lost Coast Designs, as well as the Fun clear stamp from Carmen's Veranda.

My background is piece of scrapbook paper that I have gelli printed on with green and yellow paints.  I stamped this with the Doodle Circles background stamp and some Fired Brick Distress Oxide ink.  The circus dogs were stamped with black ink onto white card stock and fussy cut out.  I colored them with Copic sketch markers and attached them to the card front with some foam tape for dimension.  I stamped then punched out the circus ball and colored it with markers as well, positioning it atop one of the dog's noses with foam tape.

The word "Play" was stamped with black ink onto a white scrap that I edged with orange marker.  This was positioned in the upper left corner using foam tape.  The entire card front was then edged with a green marker and layered with a piece of white card stock.

Be sure to post your entries here on the Portal for a chance to win some free stamps!!

#179 Round and Round,

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi stampers, Riet here.
I made this wooden disk for the new challenge with the topic round.
I stamped directly onto the wooden disc and colored it with Derwent Inktense.
It wasn't easy to color on rough wood, but I managed it anyway.
Well you understand what's round, right?
The dream catchers are round, but the wooden disk is also round.
And the annual rings in the wood are also round.
Have you also made something round and used stamps?
Then join the challenge, you can even do it with stamps from other brands.
(Please read the rules)
Maybe you will be the winner of new stamps.
So click the link and join the challenge.

Stamping on Printed Paper: Flower Profile

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Welcome back from Laurie to the final days of our challenge:  Stamping on Printed Paper.  We all have lots of printed scrapbook paper, but I decided to make this example using some of my gelli print stash.  I have a whole box of all sizes of prints I have made with my Gelli plate and inks, paints, and stencils.
So for this one I used the Grunge Flower Profile stamp and one of those prints.

This was really simple.  I stamped my Grunge Flower Profile onto a piece of gelli print using black ink. The gelli print was made with acrylic paints and a texture plate with connecting circles on it.   I used gold, rust and some green acrylic paint then after pulling a print, covered my plate with white paint and pulled a second print.  So I get some nice pattern but not so much that it takes away from the stamped image.   I edged this with some gold paste and layered it with a piece of printed card stock and then a piece of hand made paper in off white.

You still have time to enter your projects featuring stamping on patterned paper and the chance to win some free stamps from Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda.  Hope you will join in the fun!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi everyone, here's my first inspiration card for our ,Stamp on patterned paper' Challenge! I used an A6 piece of scrapbook paper, soft colours and flowers and butterflies on it.

I sticked two pieces of washi tape in the left corner and stamped one of the ,Pieces of Architecture' at the edges with brown ink. Also with brown I stamped ,No hat Mona' on a seperate piece of paper and cut her out. I sponged her with Distress ink Vintage photo and glued her onto the card together with some paper flowers.
