Cathy here with a fun Halloween card for you today.
Stamp Used:

This was a fun and fast card to make. I started out with making the background. I used distress oxide inks for it. I took 2 orange colors, and I did the smooshing technique. Then I dried it and added a broom stencil with some black ink and that is it for the background. I layered that on a black card base.
For the gnome witch I stamped her in an orange distress oxide and then spritzed some water on it the make it wick out. I dried it right away to stop the wicking. Layer that on black cardstock and put her right in the middle.

Challenge #167 - Women - Paint My Reality

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello friends...today I have another card for our challenge #167 - Women.

When I was making this card I was still a bit hooked on the paper piece challenge so this card is stamped in layers..  I decided to go a bit out of my comfort zone and use reds, yellow and oranges and I started off by creating the background first.

I stamped the Frida 1 image on a piece of cream colored cardstock using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.  I blended a few shades of yellow and orange Distress Oxide inks then used a stencil to add reds on top.

The Frida image was then stamped 2 more times - one using brown ink (for the yellow parts) and a second time in Rhubarb Memento ink for the shawl.  Both were colored and fussy cut then glued down to the image.  The panel was then mounted on a maroon card base.

Be sure to check out the challenge #167 - Women on our blog and if you're feeling lucky enter your own creation for a chance to win!

Happy Halloween

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello, Cathy here with a Halloween card for the Celebrate it challenge.

Stamps Used:

I stared out with stamping Frank on white cardstock and coloring him with Copic markers. I then cut him out.
Next, I stamped the 31 from the apha set on green cardstock and cut them out. Set both cutouts aside and pick out some Halloween paper for the card background.
I took some molding paste and added some black paint to it and put it through a stencil and added some black embossing powder of top. Set aside to dry. (You really didn't have to tint the paste if you add black embossing powder to it). When dry I heat embossed it and it made it all shinny.
Lastly, I added my 31 to the bottom and had Frank stand on top of it. I then added a saying.

I hope you join the Challenge here.

Wings challenge

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello, Cathy here with a card for you.
Stamps Used:

First, I took one stamp from Pieces of Architecture and stamped it with a teal distress ink. I then took a stamp from Pieces of Calligraphy and stamped it in gray ink. Then I sprayed water on it so it would spread the ink and blur the stamping. I then took some gray distress spray ink and sprayed it in the middle. Dried it with a heat gun. After it was dry, I then took a number stencil with some black ink and stenciled the two corners, and I edged the piece in black ink.

On another sheet of paper, I stamped the Flying moon and the Eye chart square. I cut out the eye and the wings from the moon. Next, I then colored them with Copic markers and glued them together.
After they were dry, I added them to the front of the panel. I then added it to a white card base.

A fun hot mess

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello, all Cathy here with a card for you today.
Stamps Used:
I started off with some Kraft cardstock and a stencil. I didn't have a firework one, so I used one that kind of looks like one. I used distress oxide inks for it.
Next, I stamped Flying ballerina on some white cardstock and colored her with pencils and cut out. Added some washi tape for her to stand on.
I knew I wanted her in the bottom corner, so I took the Fun hot mess saying and stamped on top. After all was in place I added some glitter to the 'fireworks' and to her dress because she is full of it.

I then took a black fine tip marker and did a scribbly line around the whole thing.
Stamp the Daisy flourish in the corner and colored the flowers with color pencil and lastly, I picked a "snarky" saying and added it to the bottom.

Happy New Year gnomes

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy here with a New Year card.
Stamps Used:

I started out with the three gnomes and cut them out with my scan-n-cut and colored them with copic markers. I did add some sparkle to their hats with a sparkle gel pen.
To make the background I used some sliver stencil paste and a star stencil. I then placed a sliver glitter paper strip on the bottom so the gnomes can stand on it.
Stamp 2022 from the license plate alpha in purple ink and add to the top. There you have a gnomes new year's card.

You still have time to join the gnome challenge here.
