Zombie dog ATCoin

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!
Hello all Cathy here with a ATCoin for you.
Stamps Used:
Z-Oscar
ATC text
Corner swirl

I started out by making the background. I used Nuance powers to make it. Then I splashed on some green distress spray ink. Dry it all. Punch out a 2.5 circle from paper.
Stamp ATC text with black ink randomly over the background. Then take  Corner swirl and stamp it with green ink all over the coin.
Stamp Z-Oscar on white cardstock 2 times. Cut out one. Glue Z-Oscar to the front of the coin. On the second one smear green ink over the eyes. (easy way to color) cut out and glue on to Z-Oscar.
Edge with the same green ink around the coin.
Come join the fun here at the blog

Doodle Flowers

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Happy New Year - Laurie here.  We start the new year off with a fun Anything Goes theme
for our first challenge.  This leaves you with lots and lots of possibilities for all kinds of projects and you get to make your own theme!

I made a series of ATC cards using the Sketchy Cone Flower and the Sketchy Lily Flower stamps, both to be found in the new section of the Lost Coast Designs rubber stamp catalogue.

I stamped my flowers onto some scraps of paper I had on hand that I had made using my Gelli Plate and some acrylic paints.  I chose red, orange, blue and yellow/green.  I used Staz On black ink for the stamping, then cut out the flower portion of each one.

Next I stamped four different pieces of scrapbook paper with four of the ATC background stamps that can be found in the ATC section of Lost Coast Designs:  ATC Misc. 6 Set and the ATC Text Set 1 and cut them to fit the front of a standard ATC.  I edged each with black ink, then stamped the Cone and Lily flowers onto each background.  I then pasted my cut out flowers onto each of the four ATC cards.

The final step was to stamp Clear Stamp phrases with black ink onto white paper, cut out, and affix atop each flower as shown.
And there you have four colorful and fun ATCs that you can use for swapping or gifting.
Please join our first challenge of 2019 and show us what fun stamped creations you can make!

Day 4 of the 31 days of Halloween

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello all. Cathy here with day 4 of the 31 days of Halloween.
Stamps Used: Frankenstein head
                       ATC Gothic text

First I took the tag and added some Distress inks to the background. To make it look old and grungy. Then I flicked some water on it to give it some spots. Set aside to dry.

Then I stamped Frankenstein head on a scrap of white cardstock and colored him with Copic markers. Cut out. Set aside to add on later.
Next take stencil and some orange ink and add it randomly all over the tag.  Then take  ATC Gothic text  and stamp that randomly all over the tag.  Add some scrap paper and some bat buttons and don't forget the wooden BOO! inked in that same orange ink.
Then add Frank to the bottom of tag and add word sticker. Lastly add some ribbon to the top. I dyed it with some Distress stains to match (work with) the orange and browns in the tag. There you have a tag.
I hope to see all you great makes for the Halloween season.

Stronger than yesterday

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!
Hello all. Cathy here with a card I made for you. Can you believe it is half way through August already. Where did the Summer go?

Stamps Used:
Sketchy Lily
ATC Gothic Text
Corner Swirl
I had the pink die cut paper on my table and I wanted to use it in the card I was going to make. So I  knew I was going to be using pink and what goes with pink? Green right. So I got a piece of green pattern paper and just tore it. Then I added it to the front of a corrugated card. Then I grabbed my pink die cut piece and stamped Corner Swirl  with some pink Distress ink  so it would blend in.  Glued that to the front of the card.
I grabbed two pink color Distress Oxide inks and made the background of the tag. Then I stamped Sketchy Lily on the tag with black ink.
Next I grabbed my Distress Oxide ink in one of the pink colors I used and stamped randomly
all over the tag.
Then I added some green washi tape to the tag. next I took some ribbon and dyed it with some greens from the Distress line. Added to the top of the tag and then glued the tag to the card.
Lastly I added some pink sequence to the tag and a word saying to the pink die cut piece.

Man Arch

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy here with a Arch for the Boys, Boys, Boys (& men) challenge.

First off  I grabbed some Tim Holtz paper to make the arch. Then I started looking through my stash of bits and piece of paper and grabbed a few things that I thought would work well together.

I started off with stamping my background. I used ATC Gothic Text and Grunge Diamond Background.  I would say these are my go to stamps to start a background layer.  Next I edged the arch with brown ink.  Grunge it up.  Then I started on my paper stash.  I figured out how I wanted it on the arch and then I started inking the edges and tearing the paper and gluing them all in place.
I stamped Silhouette Man with Cane on a scrap piece of white cardstock and cut out.  Edge the sides with black marker so you don't see the white.  Then I glued him in place.  I stamped the Numbers Border on tissue paper and glued that on.  As I was looking at it I felt it still needed something so I added a word sticker.

Why don't you get out your boys and men and join the challenge.

Dragon Queen

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy here with a fun I Am Woman card.
I started out a Copic friendly white cardstock. I stamped Mother of Dragons with black ink. This stamp makes me think of that show on that network with the Mother of Dragons.  I bet you all know the one I'm talking about. Anyway.......
I colored it in with Copic markers. Looking at it now I should have added some glossy accents to the eggs. (idea for next time)
As you can see I layered it on black cardstock.
I think doing this makes your image that you colored pop.
Next I layered it on watercolor paper I used to clean up my leftover Nuance and Distress Oxide inks.
I stamped ATC Gothic Text randomly on that watercolor card.

Then I layered it all on a gray card base and I called it done.
