Celebrate it! - Birthday Mona

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everyone, it's Liesbeth here again, celebrating our challenge Celebrate it! ;-)
I decided to make a card with this wonderful Mona Lisa, I love her, sitting next to that big cake haha!
Hope you'll celebrate with us!

This is how I made it:
Using black ink I stamped Birthday Mona onto a gelli printed background. The stamped image wasn't bright enough so I also stamped her on a piece of white paper and cut out Mona and the cake. Before I added her I first stamped the words ,Do I smell cake' from Party Words, and with blue ink the Scalloped Flourish a few times. On a seperate piece of paper I stamped the Happy Birthday text (Misc. Words). I couloured everything with colour pencils, gel pens and made a shadow with watercolour pencil and water.

If you have any questions, just ask! :-)
See you next time!

Where's my hat? - Birthday Mona

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi everyone, Liesbeth here with a birthday card to show you for our Where's my hat challenge!
There are some days left for you to join the hat fun!
Onto a very glossy (Chromolux) alcohol inked background I first stamped the very big Face with tongue using StazOn Saddle Brown. I stamped  Daisy Flourish a few times with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossingpowder. After that I stamped Mona Lisa with black StazOn on the card, and also on a seperate piece of paper (2x). I cut out: 1x Mona without the balloons, 1x the cake. I coloured everything using pink ink for the skin, and colour pencils. I sticked Mona and the cake in it's place and finished with gel pend and glitter glue, and of course the sentiment (Party Words). I matted the card on red and gold cardstock.

Have fun, see you next time!

Do I smell cake

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!
Cathy here with a birthday card for you. Since it was my birthday yesterday I made a birthday card.

Stamps Used:
Large peekaboo kitty
Hat from party Mona
Do I smell cake

So I was watching a video the other day and they did something called rip and flip. What you do is take a  piece of pattern paper and cut them to the size you want for the front of the card. I made mine a little smaller then the card front so you can see the card base. Make sure that you have the piece of pattern paper larger then what you a re going to attach them to.  Now you are going to rip it and flip it. Flip the piece of pattern paper so you get the 2 sides on the front of the card base.

You can see it better here in the close up. Next I colored and cut out  Large peekaboo kitty. After that  I cut out the hat from the birthday Mona and added to the Large peekaboo kitty.
Stamp the  Do I smell cake on a white scrap. I added some pink bakers twine and some pink sequence. Added the saying to the top and placed it all on a shimmer card base.
Come join the new challenge here.
The sale is still going strong. Cone get some stamps for 25% off.

Farting Rainbows

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Cathy here to share my card today with you all.
I hope you are all having a great day and get a good chuckle from this card. This saying makes me smile every time I read it.

First I stared making this card by grabbing some watercolor paper and my Distress Oxide inks. I did the smooching technique on the craft mat to get my background to the way it is.
Next I took Grunge Diamond Background stamp and some black ink and randomly stamped it all over the background.
I took the Farting Unicorn saying and stamped it with Versafine ink on pink cardstock and I used white embossing power. Then I took a die and cut it out and used Distress ink and inked the edges of the saying.
I stamped Birthday Mona on white paper and colored it with Copic markers using colors to work with the background I made. I cut it out and I added some tinsel to the top of the hat.

Last I glued it all to the front of the card and then layered it on black cardstock.
The saying  is great for birthday cards or a card just to send a friend to make them smile.
Go check out all the great saying at Carmen's Veranda shop. I think there is something for everyone.
Last but not least come join us for the Say What?? challenge here.

Look Who's Fallen Off The Wagon!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Good morning and happy Monday, it's Sue here with my second piece for our current Anything Goes challenge.

I started with this Large Chickenwire Background and stamped it with Distress Oxides in a few colours.

I just LOVE Birthday Mona, she is such fun! She's been coloured with watercolour pens and pencils then cut out. I also made some extra balloons - you can never have too many balloons.

This sentiment just makes me laugh. If you could swap the word Twinkies (whatever they are) for chocolate it would be the story of my life! This is a Carmens Veranda clear stamp called Twinkies

Then I just layered it all up and stitched together. It's not often that I make a card, but we are coming into the birthday season for my family, so I'm sure she'll find a good home.

I hope that you like my card, and that you'll join in with our challenge. You have until the 14th, so you'd better get your skates on!

Have a lovely day, and thanks very much for looking xx
