31 Days of Halloween Challenge - Day 18

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings! Kathi here with a bewitching scenic card for Day 18 created with the Witch 2 Rubber Stamp and the Small Cityscape Rubber Stamp by Lost Coast Designs.

I started the card by stamping the Small Cityscape with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink twice — once onto the bottom of a 5.5" x 7.5" piece of white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper.

Witch 2 was then stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink above the cityscape.

The image panel was placed onto a magnetic glass mat. Both images were colored with Copic markers.

The sticker paper version of the Small Cityscape was fussy-cut and placed over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask. An acetate circle was placed over the colored Witch 2 image and secured with magnets. Blue Danube Memento Ink was brushed over the masked Small Cityscape and the acetate circle to create a night sky.

When the panel was covered to my liking, Paris Dusk Memento Ink was brushed around the edges of the image panel towards the center of the image panel to deepen the night sky.

White opaque watercolor paint was thinned slightly with water. A clean toothbrush was dipped into the white paint. Run your thumb over the bristles to splatter the masked panel (and everything else in sight-including my new glasses. Oops!).

The sticker mask over the Small Cityscape and the acetate circle mask over the Witch were removed.

A moon mask was placed over the Witch and Lost Shadow Distress Ink was brushed around the Witch to add some detail to the moon. The mask was removed and more Lost Shadow Distress Ink was brushed around the Witch to create her shadow on the moon.

White pearlescent palette chalk was brushed around the moon to add a magical lunar glow to the scene.

The image panel was trimmed to 4.75" x 6.75", edged with a black pen, and adhered to a 5" x 7" grey card.

A sentiment sticker was added to finish the card.

You still have plenty of time to join us at the Lost Coast Portal To Creativity's Challenge 202 - the 31 Days of Halloween for a chance to win Lo$t Coa$t Ca$h!

Bright and Cheerful Flying Pig!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings! It's Kathi here to share a bright and cheerful scenic card created with the Cityscape Small and Flying Pig 2 Rubber Stamps!

I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Cityscape Small and Flying Pig 2 twice — once onto a white cardstock image panel and once onto repositionable sticker paper.

Copic markers were used to color both the Cityscape Small and Flying Pig 2. The sticker paper versions were fussy-cut and placed over their counterparts on the image panel as masks.

Yellow ink was brushed over the masked cityscape. Pink ink was brushed across the image panel over the yellow ink and upwards. Blue ink was brushed over the top of the image panel and the masked pig. A lighter blue was brushed over the bottom part of the blue ink and downwards over the pink ink.

The masks were lifted, the image panel was trimmed, and edged with a black pigment marker.

The image panel was matted with black cardstock and then adhered to a blue A6 card.

You still have time to create a Bright and Cheerful card, post it, and join our January Challenge!

Two ATC's on a bue Distress inked background. I stamped with white and black ink and used some white embossingpowder and a white gel pen.
Stamps used: Small Cityscape, Misc. Words and Carmen`s Veranda's beautiful ATC Birds in Trees.

Art Dolls & Divas: Serenity

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everyone, Liesbeth here with a new art doll, assembled out of different stamps! Read everything about our Art Dolls challenge HERE and join the fun!

I stamped the Serenity Diva on top of an inked page in my art journal, using black ink. I also stamped her on  a piece of super glossy, inked paper and drew a ,dress`, attached to the body. I masked the bottom and stamped the legs (also from Serenity Diva) I cut out the body and dress and stamped onto it with black StazOn ink: Small Cityscape and Large Snowflakes set. I glued it onto the page. Onto a normal piece of paper , I stamped the head...It's one of the Gibsons Girls' Faces.

(It's hard to make a good picture of this super glossy paper...so shiny)

I cut out the head, and coloured it with some ink and colour pencils and adhered it onto the page. I finished with yellow gel pen. (For the background I used the Snowflakes and Pieces of Calligraphy ) This way you can combine lots of stamps to create funny dolls! Give it a try!

31 Days of Halloween Day 11: Witch Gnome

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi there, it's Liesbeth here with a not so scary Halloween card for our 31 Days of Halloween challenge! Read everything about it here and join us!

This is how I made this card: Onto a piece of glossy cardstock I made a background using purple, yellow and orange alcohol inks. After drying, I stamped the Small Cityscape here and there with orange StazOn ink, without using an acryllic block to let it be ,grungy'. After that I put the same stamp onto an acryllic block and stamped it with black StazOn, and also the ATC Birds in trees here and there. I sponged the edges black. I stamped the Gnome Witch on broom (Love her!!!) on a seperate (normal, not glossy) paper and cut her out. I coloured her with Distress inks, water and some glitter and adhered her on the card.

Till next time, Liesbeth XX
