31 Days of Halloween- Day 28

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello, Cathy here with some ID cards for you.

Stamps Used:

I started out by cutting cardstock to 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and coloring it with some distress ink. I stamped the ID from the travel stuff set and edged it with some dark brown distress ink.
Next, I stamped the faces of FrankBride of Franksmall skeleton and  Alfred Hitchcock Standing.

I added some Halloween snippets. I then took the numbers border and stamped it in red on all of the cards. I also took the ID and stamped the seal in red off the side.

In the travel stuff set there is another stamp that has a seal, and I stamped that on the other side.

I did them in the same style so they would all go together. This is the only one I stamped the seals in orange to go with the Halloween snippets color.

You still have a few more days to join in the Halloween challenge.

31Days of Halloween, day 26 whirly wheel dancing skeletons.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

 Hi there, Riet here.
Today is my last Halloween entry for the
Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda stamps  Halloween challenge.
I made a whirly wheel card with dancing skeletons.
I just love this skull and bones background stamp from Carmens Veranda stamps.

And this is how to make the card.
I used.
Carmens veranda, skull and bones background
Carmens veranda , When witches go riding
Lost Coast Designs, Rustic checkerboard border
Lost Coast Designs, Dancing skeletons
Versafine onyx black
Distress Oxide crackling campfire andVillainous potion.
Black fineliner.
For the whirly wheel I used a die set, to assemble the card, you can look up a video on YT.

How to make the card.
I started by stamping the skull and bones background onto white paper with oxide villainous potion.
Now isn't this an awesome background stamp.

While the background is drying, we continue with the dancing skeletons.
We stamp these with Versafine onyx black.
Let them dry and then cut them out.

We make the mat 1/2 cm larger than the card on all sides.
Continue with the Distress Oxide crackling campfire and the rustic checkerboard border stamp.
Stamp the border 4 times.
Cut them to size and glue them onto the mat.
Mat this with a green mat and a black mat.
Stamp the last line of the text on a piece of paper left over from the border.
Assemble the card so that the dancing skeleton emerges from the top of the card.
Now it looks if the skeleton is dancing.
Stick the text and the larger skeleton onto the skull and bones background with foam tape.

And that's it, I hope you enjoyed it.
The challenge runs until October 31st.
So there's still time to participate and have a chance to win a prize.

Hello Halloween lovers!👻💀
Day 25 already of our 31 Days of Halloween.., can you believe it?

First I stamped the Skeleton and Roses with black StazOn ink  and masked it. I stamped different Pieces of Calligraphy around it, and removed the mask. I finished the card with bleach and white gel pen. And also a dark charcoal shadow around the skull stamp to ,lift it up'.

31 Days of Halloween Day 24 - Owl Gift Tag

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi everyone, Aimee here. Around this time in October we have the chance to pass out treat bags to the kiddos in our life. Here's a kid-friendly gift tag to make those little gifts extra cute!
The gift tag features one of Lost Coast Design's newest stamps from the Cartoon Kids set--a friendly little owl perched upon some hand-drawn branches. The edges of the tag were inked with a Brush Strokes stamp and then heat embossed in black. The sticker embellishments were purchased at a Dollar Tree store in their Halloween aisle. Follow along to see how the tag was made:
What's your favorite candy to put into treat bags? I love sour gummy anything--yum! Why not bring a little joy into the lives of the kiddos you know and make them a sweet treat gift. Get creative with your own tag design and upload it to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for this month's Halloween Challenge. Entries due by October 31.

31 Days of Halloween Day 23 - Crow Fly By

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!   Gail here with day 23 of our 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  Today I have made a slimline card with a few of my favourite Lost Coast Designs stamps.
I started with a slimline card made from some slightly dotty patterned card.  I stamped MRaven1 with black archival ink and masked it.  I stamped Drips Background using scarlet archival ink and goth shrine with London Fog ink.  I added some smudgy distress ink colour and part of Carmen's Veranda When Witches Go Riding sentiment.
Link up your Halloween inspired projects.  Anything related to the season, spooky, fruity, fun, scary or cute.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.  A small stamped sentiment in a sea of die cuts or digi images will not qualify to win the prize and you may be deleted or fed to the giant pumpkin!!!!  Bwahahhaaahaha.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

31 Days of Halloween, day 22. Lets make some homedecor.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hallo there, Riet here with 2 Halloween pumpkins.

Do you all love Halloween?
You can get so creative with it.
It's so much fun to make your own decorations.
I was walking into a store and saw these MDF pumpkins.
I'll tell you how to decorate them.
Instead of MDF, you can also use sturdy cardboard or wood.

What you'll need:
LCD stamps,
and

Acrylic paint,
White, Black, Orange, Green.
Distress oxide, Musterd seed.
Color pencils or markers (whatever you prefer)
Brown marker/pencil.
Stencil to make the words.
A die to make the vines and leaves.

A quick tip:
If you prime MDF first, it will become rough.
Let the first coat dry thoroughly and then sand it smooth.
This is only possible after the first coat.
If you don't, sand the MDF after the first coat, it wont get smooth.

Start with a layer of white paint and sand it once it's dry.

I applied 2 layers of orange paint.

Paint the stem with dark green paint.
And draw the lines of the pumpkin with pencil.

Now use a brown marker to draw the lines on the pumpkin.
Don't make a sharp line, but make it a bit smudgy.

Using a soft brush and the Distress Oxide Mustard Seed,
apply a yellow glow between the lines.

While the pumpkins are drying, we'll continue with the stamps.
Stamp them onto thin paper with waterproof black ink.
Color them however you like and cut them out.

Once the pumpkins are dry we continue with black paint and the stencil.
I used a smal sponge to aply the paint.
Let the black paint dry.
In the meantime, we cut the leaves and vines.
I used two shades of green.

Now we'll glue everything onto the pumpkins.
And then it's done.

I really enjoyed making them.
If you've made something for Halloween and stamped on it,
(No need to use LCD stamps, all brands are allowed) join our challenge.
You'll have a chance to win new stamps.
