Gnome For Christmas

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here today with some inspiration for the anything Gnome Challenge.  I've gone shaped card and simple and Christmas with mini Pompom Gnome and his Mushroom House.
I do like this wiggly circle die and it's a nice big layered set so great for fun card bases.  I found a bit of card already smooched with distress ink that seemed a perfect background for my green and gold 'shroom house.  The house and the gnome were both stamped on white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.   To finish I stamped the Happy Christmas directly on the background.
Hope you get some time to get gnomey.  You have all month to share your stamped anythings featuring GNOMES!!  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project and we need at least 20 entries to award the prize.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

In Perspective

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!   Gail here today with more Gnome fun.
I made a tag using Lost Coast Designs Coffee Gnome, ATC Perspective and Pieces of Calligraphy with Carmen's Veranda Coffee Vs Challenges sentiment.

I started with a piece of card that had a ray pattern on it and cut it with Daisy Mae tag die.  Then I smeared the edges with yellow archival ink and stamped some of the Pieces of Calligraphy stamps with the same ink to add some texture.

I stamped the ATC Perspective with brown archival ink and the sentiment with black archival ink. I stamped Coffee Gnome on white card, coloured with distress markers, fussy cut and added him to the tag.  I found some curious bobbly lace for my tag tie.
Hope you like my gnomey tag.  You have all month to share your stamped anythings featuring GNOMES!!  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project and we need at least 20 entries to award the prize.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

clean and simple

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hey - Darlene here with my first make of the month with the theme
this month being 'Gnomes"

I titled this one clean and simple as thats what it was to make.

The background I had made awhile back just doing some smooshing.
The 3 mini gnomes I embossed and coloured and fussy cut out

The little saying is just from some paper I had laying around also.
So - to me - it looked like an evening sky/sunset happening in the background.

So easy to put together, your cards don't need to have a lot going on to look great.

Be sure to enter your Gnome into this months challenge...maybe win some new stamps !!

Hello Portal Peeps!!  Gail here today and this month we are all about GNOMES!!!!   Lost Coast Designs have so many adorable Gnomes I am sure there are one or two that will appeal to you.  Every gnome needs a good home.  Here's a card I made and sent for the Card Chain Challenge international card exchange, where Gnomes were one of the options.
Love these ZZ gnomes.  I used Lost Coast Designs Grunge Border 2" on my background panel which I also cut with a mixed media die from sizzix.  Then I stamped the gnome on white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.  The Friends Forever words were stamped on a scrap of card, matted and added to the card.

Today I Completed a Chore

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings! It's Kathi here to share a card created for the March Make It Funny Challenge 207 with the Steampunk Profile Head Rubber Stamp and the "I Completed a Chore" Clear Stamp — both by Carmen's Veranda.

Use Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the Steampunk Profile Head onto a piece of patterned paper. Heat set the panel.

Use VersaMark Ink to stamp the "I Completed a Chore" sentiment onto the head. Ink the stamp a second time with Strawberry VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp again.

Add scarlet embossing enamel to the wet ink, dump the excess back into the ep container, and heat set the powder.

Fussy-cut the Steampunk Profile Head and edge with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink. Heat set the head.

Trim a piece of clock-patterned paper to 5.75" square and edge with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink.

Adhere the Steampunk Profile Head as shown.

Adhere the panel to a red 6x6 card.

#206 Make it funny challenge.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello stampers and other crafters.
Riet here with a new tutorial.
Today a card for the LCD/CV  challenge.
What I used:
The black edge is one of
And Carmen's Veranda,
Black waterproof inkpad.
Posca marker, green, pink and yellow.
Color pencils.
White gellpen.
Neocolor II.
I started by applying the Neo Color II colors to the paper.

I washed that out with water and a brush.
Do this carefully, otherwise you will get a muddy color.

Stamp with black ink Mona and the saying.
Stamp the edge with a part of frayed circle from the brush strokes sheet.

Draw small flowers on the black border with the Posca.
And color Mona with pencils.

Make some accents with a white gelpen.

Mat the card on white and go along the edge with a black marker.

This was my final contribution to this month's challenge.
It runs until the 31st, so there is still time to join in.
You can also participate with other brands, as long as you use stamps.
And remember, make it funny.
And of course, there is a prize to be won.

Here is a free tutorial with the face of mona set.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings! You've got Kathi here today with a slightly twisted off-color card created for March's Make It Funny Challenge 207. I used the Silhouette Lady with Umbrella Rubber Stamp by Lost Coast Designs with the "Peace, Love, Light" Clear Stamp by Carmen's Veranda.

Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the Silhouette Lady with Umbrella Rubber Stamp onto a piece of patterned paper.

Use Purple Delight VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the "Peace, Love, Light" Clear Stamp to the right of the Silhouette Lady. Heat set the panel thoroughly, then use a cutting die to cut the image panel.

Create an A6 card from white cardstock. Sponge Purple Delight VersaFine Clair Ink onto the outside .5" perimeter of the card. Heat set.

Adhere the image panel die-cut to finish the card.

#207 Make it funny. Peep show!!!!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi there, Riet here.

Look at these mischievous gnomes.
They want to sneak a peek but don't quite dare.
Hahahaha, I find this so funny.

The things I used for this card:
Stencil with letters.
Any stencil you like.
Derwent Inktense storm dust 2107.
Distress Oxide,
Hickory smoke.
Distress ink.
Saltwater taffy
Barn door.
Coloring pencils or markers.
Black fineliner.
Ruler.

I started making stripes with the Saltwater taffy.

Repeat with barn door and a little bit of hickory smoke.
Spray some water so that the colors blend a little.
Dry with heattool.

Using the gray Inktense pencil, draw the planks and nail heads.

Take a piece of paper and stamp the keyhole.
Mask the outside and stamp the lingerie lady.
Stamp the gnomes and color all.
Glue on the card.
With the Hickory smoke oxide and a stencil embellish the card.
Use the black fineliner to finish the card.
Whell that was fun to do.
Now its up to you, the team would love to have a laugh with your card,
tag, or what ever you make.
Join the challenge, you dont need to use LCD or CV stamps.
As long as there is stamping on it you can join.
Hope to see you on the challenge.

Here is another tutorial with the same technique.
