Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!
Greetings! You've got Kathi here to share a card created for June's Color Combo Challenge 198. There are two options for this challenge. You can use Lime, Lemon, and Black or Terracotta, Turquoise and Black.
I opted to use the Lime, Lemon, and Black combination and the Carmen Elaine Rubber Stamp by Carmen's Veranda.
Here's my card!
Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp Carmen Elaine twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and set her aside.
Color Carmen Elaine with Copic markers. Adhere the fussy-cut sticker version atop her counterpart on the image panel as a mask.
Position a long rectangle die over the image panel and secure it low-tack tape. Run the die through your machine and carefully slide the die and the cardstock combination onto your surface, add more low-tack tape to secure the die in place, and flip the combo. Add low-tack tape to secure the die-cut to the back of the cardstock panel.
Flip the combination to the front side. Adhere repositionable Scotch Tape over the base of the die-cut combination. Sponge or brush Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink over the die onto the image panel die-cut. Place a circle/rays stencil over the top of the image panel die-cut, secure with magnets, and brush the same yellow Distress ink over the stencil onto the die-cut panel to add rays over and around Carmen Elaine's head.
Remove the repositionable Scotch Tape and brush or sponge Twisted Citron Distress ink over the bottom of Carmen Elaine's dress and the panel to ground her.
Remove the die-cut image panel from the die. Run a line of Diamond Stickles onto the white border of the die-cut. Set the die-cut aside and let the Stickles dry.
While the Stickles is drying, cut a piece of the music patterned paper to 4" x 5.5" to create the background. Brush or sponge Verdant VersaFine Clair over the panel to change the color of the musical notation. Cut a strip of ticket patterned paper the width of the ticket by 5.5". Brush or sponge Verdant VersaFine Clair over the ticket strip to change the color and to edge the strip. Heat set both pieces of patterned paper. Adhere the ticket strip to the left side of the music notation paper. Trim the panel to 5.25" and edge it with Verdant VersaFine Clair Ink.
Adhere the background panel to a black A2 card. Adhere the Carmen Elaine image panel die-cut to finish the card.
I hope that you play along with June's Color Combo Challenge 198 for a chance to win Lost Cost Ca$h!
