Something Seasonal Challege 215 - A Remember Day of the Dead Card

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings! You've got Kathi here to share a Day of the Dead "Remember" card created for November's Something Seasonal Challenge with the Day of the Dead Angel Rubber Stamp by Lost Coast Designs. You should know that this fabulous stamp comes in two different sizes. I used the larger one for this card.

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Day of the Dead Angel Rubber Stamp by Lost Coast Designs onto Copic-friendly cardstock.

Fussy-cut the Angel but trim off her halo, the design around it and the tassel fringe at the bottom of her dress.

Use Copic markers to color the fussy-cut image, then edge the fussy-cut image with a black pen. Retrospectively, I wish I had colored her bouquet in shades of red. Alas.

Trim a piece of patterned paper to 4.75" x 6.75". Pounce an anti-static pouch onto the patterned paper panel. Cut a Post-It Note in roughly the shape of the Angel's head and place it over that part of the stamp. Place another Post-It Note over the bottom of her dress. Use VersaMark or other embossing Ink to ink her halo, the design around it, and the tassel fringe. Pour gold detail embossing powder onto the wet ink, dump the excess powder back into its container, and heat set the embossing powder.

Use a Gold Posca Paint Pen to fill in her halo. Use an orange glitter marker to fill in the triangular designs around her halo.

Use a Gold Posca Paint Pen to add a thin gold border around the edges of the patterned paper background.

Allow the paints to dry, then adhere the fussy-cut colored Day of the Dead Angel in place.

Back a piece of gold metallic cardstock with 2" wide double-sided tape. Use a "remember" sentiment die to cut it. Adhere the sentiment die-cut to the patterned paper as shown.

Adhere the patterned paper panel to a black textured 5" x 7" card.

I hope you get the chance to join us in this month's November's Something Seasonal Challenge for the chance to win Lo$t Coa$t Ca$h and a brand new badge for your blog.
