Hi, it's Dot here with a fun little card for you to have a go at!
It is slightly vintage and uses Distress Inks.
Does this 50's Girl look like she is floating away in the bubbles?
It is a fun one to make and you can any image you like to this background, I just thought that this vintage girl might be a fun one to use.
Here we go ...
Step 1: Make a circle mask using a circle die. Attach it to the center of your white cardstock.
Step 2: Carefully blend some Iced Spruce Distress Ink onto the card. And a light bit of Picked Raspberry here and there as well. Not too heavy though.
Step 3: Using a circle stencil, lightly blend some Picked Raspberry ink into the largest circle. Ever so lightly. Then on a medium sized circle, blend the same colour heavily. If you are having trouble keeping the colour to the circle that you want, mask around it so that you are only using the one that you want. Using the Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide, stamp some circles from the ATC's Doodle Set.
Step 4: Blend some Black soot around the mask to give it a lovely edge. Remove the mask at this stage. Blend Black Soot through some smaller circles on your stencil so that they go into the white space of the previously masked area.
Step 5: Stamp the 50's Girl onto some photo copy paper and cut her out. Work out where she will be sitting. Her hand looked like it was floating so I stenciled another black bubble for her to rest on.
Step 6: To finish - attach to girl to the card. Add some more circles, if you like, with white acrylic paint and a pen lid. Edge the card with black Archival Ink. Mount your card onto black card, then white and then black again
This 50's Girl has a gorgeous vintage feel and is heaps of fun to play with.
The challenge this fortnight is
and is all about circles.
You will see the link over on the side here,
