Brunhilda Sings

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello.  Gail here today.  I hope you have had a very merry merry and many happy jingles over the festive period.   Only a few days til the end of year celebrations and the start of a new year with new chances and possibilities.  Over at Lost Coast Designs there are some fabtastic new designs!!  Cathy shared some makes with the new stamps in the previous post.  Today I have used Brunhilda and made a wintery scene.
I love this lusty viking queen.  She is such a fun lady.  I decided to put her on one of Norway's most popular tourist attractions - Preikestolen!
There she is!!!  OK, maybe not.....  You can find this and other pictures here incase you want to see more.  They describe it as 'a cliff in Norway'.  Well, yes, but it's a very impressive cliff!!!  A square of rock jutting out from the mountain and 600m (almost 2000ft) above the fjord.  Been there a few times myself.  Impressive.
So I used my phenomenal drawing skills and distress inks to give her a rock to stand on.  I stamped and embossed Brunhilda first, but would probably not bother with the embossing next time because it's such a detailled stamp and even with fine powder you lose a bit of detail.  I've coloured her with distress inks, white gel pen and silver pilot marker and then went a bit crazy with the glitter glue.
I gave the background a watercolour wash with blue shades and cut snowflakes from silver glitter paper using Poppystamps Snowflake Collage die.

There is still time to join our
