Thank You Farmers

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps.  Gail here today.  I hope you are weathering these curious times well.
I know we are thinking a lot about people who are essential workers and today I'd like to spotlight our farmers.  Without them, where would we be??  Hungry!!  Farm work never stops, and we are heading into the lambing season here in Norway, so I had a play with the new Gnome and Sheep stamps from Lost Coast Designs.  I love these gnomies.  Red Neck Gnome has a crook, and I thought he needed some sheep, so I paired him with Lost Coast Designs Many Sheep stamp.
Hoot or what???!!!  I stamped the Many Sheep background (now also available ATC sized!) on a piece of white card and cut along the top to give a complete row of sheep.  I stamped Red Neck Gnome on a piece of white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.  I wanted some grass and found a CC Designs drip die and a scrap of green card.  I decided it would make perfect gnome grass.  There were some advantageous gaps so I re-positioned a few sheep heads to fill them in a humerous manner.  I stamped the Happy Birthday and done.
Join the Spring has Sprung challenge for your chance to win Lost Coast Designs/Carmen's Veranda stamps.
Due to the continuing situation the Going Viral Sale is still on!!!!
Use code QUARANTINEUS for 25% off unmounted and cling mounted stamps.
Check the NEW section for new gnomes, gnome homes, ATC backgrounds and much, much, much, much more!!!!!

Stay safe.  Keep well.  Stamp on!!!!
Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Spring has Sprung

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

 Hello everyone, Riet here.
Today I want to tell you how I made this art journal card.  First I took a piece of sturdy cardboard and pasted on a page from an old music book.  I kept the music paper a bit smaller than the cardboard so that you can see the edges.
After I smeared the paper with Gesso I colored it with Gelato's.
Then I added the diamond's with a stencil and Gelato stick. I drew edges around it with a pencil and scratched it with a knife. I stamped the top edge with Versa magic and the Hearts and Curls Border.  With a brush with water I went over the hearts so that they are a bit lighter in color.
I wrote the text and added the dashes with a Posca marker.
Well that was the background, and then for the beautiful dragonfly stamp from the More Bugz sheet. Take a piece of watercolor paper. Stamp with a waterproof ink.
I colored the dragonfly with Tombo markers, but you can color it with whatever you want. Then here and there some white paint splatters and you're done.

I hope you enjoy this little tutorial.
And join our Spring Has Sprung challenge, its fun.
