Upcycle Wallcovering samples for Card Making - Christmas in July Challenge #80

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello all,

Lori here, with a card project for the Christmas in July challenge.  This card shows how neutral colors can be a good choice for Christmas cards.  The project also includes upcycling (the use and transformation of old, discarded, and/or useless materials into art); the background and snowflake were both created from discarded Wallcovering samples.   Check out the Quick Tips Mixed Media video below for the step by steps.

Lost Coast Designs:

  • Georges & Lewis
  • Large Snowflake set

Other materials:

White permanent ink
Champagne metallic pigment ink
Saying sticker
Wallpaper samples
Snowflake Die
