Happy Halloween. 💀
Cathy here with day 31 of the 31 days of Halloween.

                                                                           Stamps Used:
                                                                           Small skeleton
                                                                       ATC Italian postmark
Witch from wizard of OZ 2

I started out with wooden coffins. I painted the back with black paint. I then glued some pattern paper to the front.

I stamped the Small skeleton   of the side of the coffin. I then stamped  ATC Italian postmark in a light brown ink for the background.
I added some Halloween ephemera around it.

For the second one I stamped   Witch from wizard of OZ 2 and colored it with copic markers. I also added the ATC Italian postmark and Halloween ephemera.
Today is the lats day for the 31 days of Halloween challenge.

31 Days of Halloween Day 30

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings and salutations! Kathi here to share a card created for Day 30 of the 31 Days of Halloween Challenge!

Here's my card created with the Day of the Dead Angel Rubber Stamp by Lost Coast Designs.

The Day of the Dead Angel Rubber Stamp comes in two sizes. I've used the larger of the two for my card. The Angel was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, fussy-cut, colored with Copic markers, then edged with a black multi-liner.  I should note that I Intentionally cut off her halo and the fringe at the bottom of her skirt when fussy-cutting the Angel

A white gel pen was used to add highlights to the pupils of her eyes. A black glitter marker was used to add sparkly details to the fine black lines on her wings, skirt, and the buttons of her bodice. The completed Day of the Dead Angel was set aside while I created a suitable background for her.

A panel of Mixed Media cardstock was sprayed with water. Black and Grey Brusho Powders were sprinkled over the wet paper and allowed the powders to activate The background panel was misted with more water to further spread the Brusho powders. A paper towel roll was rolled over the the panel to sop up the excess water. The panel was heat set.

The Remember This Story 6x6 Stencil was placed over the ink-stained background, Nocturne VersaFine Ink was brushed over the stencil onto the background panel, then heat set.

Low-tack tape was placed over most of the rays of the Super Hero Rays 6x6 Stencil, the stencil was positioned near the top of the background panel, and Golden Glitz Delicata Ink was sponged over the stencils onto the background panel.

The image panel was trimmed to 5" x 5".  Black and white floral washi tape was adhered to the bottom of the panel then the Delicata and VersaFine Clair Inks were used to edge it.

A piece of white cardstock was trimmed to 5.25" square, Golden Glitz Delicata Ink was sponged around the panel's outer .25" perimeter, then heat set. This panel was used to mat the background panel.

The Day of the Dead Angel was adhered to the background panel so that her head would be within the gold stenciled rays and the bottom of her skirt would be on the washi tape.

The card front was adhered to a black 5.5" square card.

I sure hope that you've played along with our 31 Days of Halloween Challenge

Thanks for visiting today. Have a safe and fun Halloween. Enjoy your Day of the Dead Celebrations!

31 Days of Halloween Day 28

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Boo! Aimee here. Halloween is the perfect season to watch scary movies or read creepy tales. Edgar Allen Poe is known for his spooky poems, one of which is The Raven. He writes: Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door. Quoth the Raven "Nevermore."

Whether you're a fan of Edgar Allen Poe or not, I think we can agree that the MRaven1 stamp from Lost Coast Designs makes a great subject for a Halloween card. Follow along with these photos to see the steps on how it was created.
It's not too late to join in the Halloween fun! Stamp something spooky and submit it to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for your chance to win a prize. You have until midnight on October 31 to get your entry in place.

31 Days of Halloween Day 27

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

She's back, Yep, Darlene here with my Little Gnome Witch make !!!

What is Halloween without a Witch???

So with this card I stamped the background with Tree Branches background stamp.

Then I inked a nice orange moon for the back ground.

The Gnome Witch on a Broom was embossed and fussy cut out.

Did put a wee bit of sparkle on the broom and hat.

The saying has a bit of cheesecloth in behind for some texture.

Almost coming to the end of the month.
Be sure to get your make into  the Challenge

31 Days of Halloween Day 26!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings! You've got Kathi here today to share a card created for our 31 Days of Halloween Challenge! Can you believe that it's day 26 already and that we have less than a week before the big day?

Here's the card!

Tuxedo Black Memento was used to stamp Edgar Allen Poe twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable label paper.

Copic markers were used to color Poe on the image panel. The sticker paper version of Poe was fussy-cut and placed over his colorful counterpart on the image panel as a mask.

Lost Shadow, Milled Lavender, and Seedless Preserves Distress ink were sponged over the masked image onto the panel to create a background.

Nocturne VersaMark Clair Ink was sponged over the "Nevermore" Stencil onto the bottom of the image panel.

I found a stencil with splats in my stencil stash and randomly sponged more black ink over it to add splotches and splats to the background.

The masks was lifted, the image panel was trimmed, edged with black ink, and adhered to a black 5" x 7" card.

Since time is ticking away, just like a pendulum, you should gather your stamps, get inky, and play along with our 31 Days of Halloween Challenge!

Thanks for visiting today!

31 Days of Halloween Day 24

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!  Gail here again today with some more inspiration for the 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  The team is sharing bootiful projects every day this month and we hope you will join the fun and link up your stamped anythings with a  halloween theme.   Doesn't have to be spooky or scary.  Anything that fits the season is good as long as you have used real rubber or clear stamps.
Today I have used Lost Coast Designs TaDa Mouse and Large Tigger Shrine.

TaDa's got his wings!!!!

I started by stamping Large Tigger Shrine on some slightly lilac card using Memento London Fog ink.  Gorgeous detail on these rubber stamps.  I smudged the edges of the panel with shaded lilac distress ink and drew some of the colour towards the shrine using a water brush.  I smudged wilted violet distress ink on top of some of the shaded lilac to darken the edges and give more depth.

I gave some of the shrine a watercolour wash with pumice stone distresss ink and smudged the bottom of the panel with black soot distresss ink.  I stamped TaDa on white card, fussy cut him and added him over the art doll so it looked like he has wings.  To finish I stamped part of Carmen's Veranda Witches Go Riding on the upper part of the shrine and added a few die cut bats.  It's always fun to fly with friends bwahhhaaahahaaaa.

Tis Near Halloween

You have until 23.59 PST on the 31st to submit your stamped anythings with a Halloween theme to the linky party.  Don't forget to follow us so you don't miss anything!  The team will be posting more inspiration throughout the month so check back and join the fun.

31 Days of Halloween Day 22

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Boo! Aimee here. If I had to take a guess at the most popular Halloween costume over the years, I would put my money on a Witch. One year I spent Halloween in Salem, Massachusetts--the epicenter of all things Witches for the United States. What a spectacle! If you want one of the best people watching experiences ever, head to Salem on October 31.
This cute witch is one of Lost Coast Designs new gnome stamps--Gnome Witch With Stars. She's a little one, so I wanted to show her off by putting her behind a windowpane in the center of the card. To help her stand out, I colored her clothes bright orange to contrast the green and black of the card base. Follow along with these photos to see how I put the card together.
What are you dressing up as for Halloween this year? Will you be a cute witch or a scary witch? Or, if costumes aren't your thing, how about celebrating the holiday by participating in this month's Lost Coast Designs Challenge? Submit your creation by October 31 to win a prize.

31 Days of Halloween: Day 21

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi everyone! My fourth inspiration card for our 31 Days of Halloween challenge! Hope we inspire you to give it a go yourself!👻😱👻 Have fun!

The techniques are the same as my previous blogposts. On a coloured background (Distress inks) I stamped Calligraphy Shrine with black StazOn ink and masked it. I stamped Skull Flourish, and also it's flourishes at the edges of the card. I sponged some edges around and inside the masked arch with black ink before I moved the mask. The card is finished with some bleach, charcoal and white gel pen.

See you soon,
LiesbethXX

31 Days of Halloween, day 20.

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hi, Riet here with a Iris shutter slimline card.
Hi there, today I have an iris shutter card for you.
Made with the super cute gnome witches from lost Coast designs.
This is what I used to make this card.

Iris shutter die (Elizabeth crafts Designs.)
Flying bats die.
Pumpkins die.
Slimline frame (Marianne design)
Halloween stencil (BOO and pumkin face).
Distressink,
Musterd seed,
Twisted citron,
Spiced Marmelade,
Picked rasberry,
Seedless preserves,
Dusty Concord
Black water resistend ink.
White gelpen,
Red posca marker
Black marker.
Color pencils.

How to make the card.

Start by die cutting all the iris shutter parts.
Ink them up as shown on the photo's.

Put all the parts aside and let them air dry.
Do not use a heat tool.
The shutter parts will warp and they need to stay flat.

Punch a 1.5 inch cirkel and stamp the little star with.

Color the background and the witch.
Color the edge with Dusty concord.

Assemble the iris shutter as explained on the packaging.
Draw a pumpkin face on the iris shutter with the black marker.
We splash some Seedless preserves on the top ring of the shutter and sponge the word BOO on it.
Glue it to the iris shutter.

Stamp the witch, spiderweb, text on the pink background.
And the checkerboard above and below the purple background card.
Give the stamps accents with the white gel pen.
Assemble the iris shutter further as stated on the packaging of the die.
Can't figure it out? Then look up a video on YouTube.
That will help you through it.
I decorated with bats and pumpkins, but you can of course do that to your own taste.
I had a lot of fun making this card.
I'm curious to see what you make for Halloween.
Feel free to show us on the LCD/CV Blog or Facebook.
You'll then join the challenge and have a chance to win new stamps.
How cool is that?
