Magical!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings! You've got Kathi here ro share my third card for the August Children's Challenge!

I used the Manga Goth Harlequin Stamp to create my card. I just love the edginess of these Manga Goth Girls! There are seven different 5" tall Manga Goth Girl stamps available PLUS there is a small set with six 3.5" tall versions!

Here's my card!

I stamped the Manga Goth Harlequin Stamp twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper. The sticker paper version was fussy-cut and set aside.

The Manga Goth Harlequin Stamp was colored with Copic markers then masked with the fussy-cut sticker paper version.

Low-tack tape was placed horizontally across the bottom of the image panel.

Grey ink was brushed across the masked image and the tape to create a grey background.

Low-tack tape was used to secure a Rotating Rings stencil over the inked image panel. The same grey ink was brushed over the stencil, the masked image, and the horizontal tape to create a tone on tone effect.

The Rotating Rings stencil was removed, then a cabbage rose stencil was positioned so that a rose would be in a ring, and leaves and stem would trail off the right side of the image panel. Teal ink was brushed over the stencil to color the rose, leaves, and stem.

A rough stippling brush (I call it a pouncy tool) was used to randomly pounce teal ink across the masked image onto the top part of the image panel.

The strip of low-tack tape was removed from the bottom of the image panel and moved to cover the area above the horizon line. Grey ink was sponged over the tape to create a floor to ground the image.

The mask was removed from the Manga Goth Harlequin Girl.

The same teal ink used to stencil the rose was brushed onto a strip of white cardstock. A "Magical" word die was used to cut the inked cardstock, then the die-cut was adhered as shown.

The image panel was trimmed to 4.75" x 6.75" and edged with the same teal ink, which was smooshed around the outside .5" of a white 5" x 7" card. The image panel was adhered to the the now-teal card to finish it all up.

I sure hope you take the time to create a project for our  August Children's Challenge for a chance to win Lost Coast Cash!

Thank you for stopping by today!
