Alice on old book page

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everyone! Aimee here--I'm a new Design Team member and this is my first tutorial. Let me start by saying how great these companies' stamps are; all of the fine details stamp out PERFECTLY. I promise you'll love them. For this all-occasion greeting card, I've used one of the Four Alices and two of the Brush Stokes stamps to create this card.

In addition to the stamps, you'll need a card base, a page from an old book, white cardstock for stamping the image, contrasting cardstocks to mount the book page, black pigment ink pad, light-colored pigment ink, ribbon, double-sided tape, embossing powder, a heat gun and either coloring pencils or alcohol markers.

I found an old German-language Fairy Tale book to use as my background paper. Isn't the font lovely? Look closely and you'll see it's the story of Hansel & Gretel. Too bad Alice in Wonderland wasn't a story option in this book. Visit your local thrift store to find neat old books at a great price.

Want to join in all the fun? Post your stamped "Children's Challenge" creation here on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity by August 31 for your chance to win Lost Coast dollars.
