Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!
Hello. Gail here today with some inspiration for the Anything Goes challenge. Have you seen the new stamps at Lost Coast Designs??? I couldn't wait to get my hands on the new and beautiful Doodle Seahorse. Two sizes of this image available. I used the large one (3.5" high) to make a bubblicious underwater scene.
Isn't that seahorse gorgeous!!!
I started with a piece of orange cog patterned paper and cut an aperture using Sizzix Deckle Edge die. I stamped Lost Coast Designs Bubble Background using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink and stuck the paper to my blue card base and inked the edges.
I inked the edges of the cut panel, added a layer of card behind to give it some dimension and offset it.
I stamped, embossed and fussy cut the Doodle Seahorse and coloured with Promarkers.
Since Lost Coast Designs is sponsoring the current Tags challenge at Allsorts I decided to use a tag for my sentiment. I stamped and embossed the Carmen's Veranda More Hugs sentiment on vellum and stamped the Bubble Background stamp on pale blue card with the Salty Ocean DOx. Then I cut both with a Sizzix tag die, stuck them together and made a rough border with Cobalt Blue embossing powder. I found this cool bubbly green and blue wool for my tag top. Unfortunately Seahorse didn't think this wool cool, or practical for underwater use, so it was vetoed from the final project.......
I stuck the Seahorse and tag onto the background and I made some bubble strips by stamping the Bubbles Background onto the orange card, embossing with the Cobalt Blue powder and fussy cutting. Seahorse likes bubbles!!
