Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!
Hi from Laurie as we are closing in on Halloween and the last week of the Lost Coast Designs 31 Days Of Halloween Challenge. Hope you are having as much fun with this as we are.
I've made another card for this day featuring a Halloween theme with a cat stamp as my focal point. I used the Striped Cat stamp from Katzelkraft which are available in the Lost Coast Designs shop. I stamped this guy onto a paper that I had used yellow and orange Distress inks on. I stamped with black Staz On ink then cut out my cat. I restamped his eyes onto white paper and cut them out and glued them over the original image and added some shine to them with Glossy Accents.
For my background I took a piece of orange striped scrapbook paper and, using shades of red and orange Distress Inks, stenciled a checkerboard pattern onto my paper. I then took another stencil with randomly sized and spaced dots and used black ink to stencil those dots randomly over the surface.
I used a spider stencil to add a couple of creepy crawlies to the corners. I glued my cat into the center and gave him a little witch's hat. I die cut the word "eek" and glued that to the upper left corner.
Final steps were edging the card front with black ink and mounting it to a white layer.
Love the Katzelkraft stamps and their cat and dog stamps are perfect for this 31 Days of Halloween challenge. We also have our Cat and Dog challenge running til the end of the month so please join us on the Portal and submit your stamped Halloween/Cat/Dog projects.
Lost Coast Designs is also sponsoring the 2018 Cat Lovers Hop! So that's three chances to win Lost Coast dollars!!! Hop over there for masses of feline fun and amazing prizes.
