Hello Portal Peeps. Gail here today with a little Dia De Los Muertos inspiration.
Day of the Dead is not something I personally celebrate, although the traditions behind it make a lot of sense. In a busy, technologically driven world sometimes it important to reflect and remember. And of course, here at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity skeletons and flowers are all right any day.
For the background I used Lost Coast Designs Daffodils stamped in a rainbow of distress colours. I cut the stamped panel with Stamplorations large and medium double stitch rectangle dies and inked the inside and outside edges with black ink. I stamped and fussy cut Lost Coast Designs Day Of The Dead Woman, also colouring her with distress inks. I stamped the sentiment from Party Words using Cactus Flower archival and added it to the card.
